You will serve as a Electronics Technician GS-0856-12 in the Avionics, Sensors, and E*Warfare Department of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

  • You will conduct testing and evaluation of highly complex components and designs to identify technical specifications for the development or procurement of systems/subsystems.

  • You will fabricate and maintain test and repair set-ups for Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance systems on operational aircraft.

  • You will maintain the facilities and equipment required to perform research and developement of Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance systems.

  • You will assist in design and implementation of new systems onto the platforms.

  • You will interface with equipment manufacturers and assist in depot level repair actions on equipment by troubleshooting and replacing Shop Replaceable Assemblies (SRAs).

Travel Required
25% or less - You may be expected to travel for this position.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate ALL of the following: 1) Installing and terminating fiber optic cables; 2) Assisting in fabricating,installing, and testing systems; 3) Experience with aircraft wiring; and 4) Assisting senior technicians with repairing and troubleshooting EO/IR (electro-optical and infrared)
