Jasco is looking for an Electronics Technician to be responsible for providing laboratory testing and analysis support for all Jasco's product lines. The Electronics Tech will use a wide variety of technical measurement and analysis instruments to perform the tasks such as product benchmarking, field return investigations, new product introduction, design of experiment testing, customer returns, root cause analysis and other technical laboratory tasks. Work with engineering to develop Jasco's testing protocols based on reading and understanding safety certification organization standards such as Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and other applicable standards such as ANSI, NEMA, USB, FCC, DOE, and the National Electric Code (NEC).

  • Excellent working knowledge of Digital and Analog Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, Power Supplies, Power Analyzers, Data loggers, Thermocouples, volt/amp/resistance meters etc.

  • Construct and maintain Test Racks for Endurance Testing and Life Testing

  • Ability to design and build customized test fixtures.

  • Understands lab safety principles and ensures a safe laboratory environment and safety product testing at all time.

  • Familiar with proper repair techniques of electronic devices i.e. replacement of electrical components, soldering and unsoldering etc

  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.

  • Computer skills to log data and generate Lab reports using programs such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Data Acquisition software and other instrumentation systems.

  • Team player with excellent customer service skills that can manage multiple ongoing projects.

  • Excellent documentation, data collection and data analysis skills.

Qualifications

  • 2-year technical degree such as Associate Degree in Electronic Technology from a recognized institution.

  • 2-years recent laboratory testing and analysis experience in electronic and electrical products.

  • Self-starter able to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing business needs and meet deadlines.

VIEW JOBS 1/15/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-04-14T00:00 Position Summary: Responsible for installation, maintenance, and operation of Building Electronic Systems to include the building automation system, fire alarm control systems and protection systems, security access controls and camera systems, fuel monitoring systems and coordination of connections and interlocks to fire alarm control systems, commercial Uninterrupted Power Supplies (UPS)/generator systems, and HVAC systems, central plant equipment, fire protection systems, and related systems. Responsible for the installation, programming maintenance, calibration, inspection and operational testing of all computer hardware and software to ensure reliable system performance. Primary Duties: * Coordinate and plan preventative and corrective maintenance on plant and facility equipment. * Maintains periodic maintenance schedules. * Work with Facilities and Construction Management to upgrade or install new processes and equipment. * Assist and train junior technicians. * Perform maintenance on central plant equipment. * Program, monitor, calibrate, inspect, and perform operational testing on electronic control systems (automated facility control, security, card access, fire and video). * Provide off-site facility automation control. * Provide hydronic and air balancing for HVAC systems. * Inspect, install calibrate, program and perform operational testing on facility automation equipment and associated interface equipment. * Ensure proper documentation of systems for future reference including SAP, redline drawings and programming records. * Provide technical expertise related to installation, maintenance and performance of building automation systems including camera, card access, central plant and energy management systems, and interlocks to fire alarms, standby generators, UPS and Underground and Aboveground Storage Tanks (UST's/AST's) to work groups. * Coordinate implementation of Security Plan and ensure Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Appendix G compliance, member safety feasibility, systems approach and integration. Establish physical security standards. Recommend equipment, and system updates, as well as provide technical support for the corporate security departments. * Responsible for the coordination of technology between various work groups including Construction Management, Facilities, Corporate Security, and telecom Design/Integration to ensure code, regulatory and safety compliance. Requirements: * Associate's Degree in Electronics. * Five (5) years experience with building automation systems/controls (specifically commercial and industrial HVAC, lighting) and application and installation of security equipment (i.e. security camera, DVR, card access systems) * Previous experience reading and understanding schematic drawings and construction documents * Previous experience using and understanding computer software such as MS Office or SAP * Valid State Driver's License Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Ability to plan for and schedule facility maintenance * Strong computer and software skills. * Ability to read and understand schematic drawings and construction documents. * In-depth knowledge of local, state and federal building codes and safety regulations. * Strong knowledge of computer software such as MS Office or SAP.
