Job Description:Performroutine visual and dimensional inspection operations on sub-assemblies, completed assemblies and work in-process.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform highly repetitive visual/dimensional inspection operations on a select number of vendor supplied mechanical and electronic components.

  • Perform visual, mechanical and electrical inspection operations and basic functional tests on a select number of vendor supplied mechanical and electronic components

  • Work from wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, specifications, and general instructions to perform in-process inspection duties.

  • Follow detailed instructions and refer to inspection procedures to perform basic receiving inspection duties.

  • Perform basic receiving inspection/in-process inspection duties with limited instructions and direction of supervisor or working leader.

  • Visually inspect PCB assemblies for use in telemetry systems and other electronic equipment.

  • Check and inspect electrical wiring connections and general component layouts for compliance with applicable drawing and specifications.

  • Prepare and complete inspection forms/reports and records.

  • Verify identification and proper mounting of components.

  • Detect and report any operating difficulties or questionable conditions to your supervisor.

  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.

  • Follow prescribed safety regulations.

  • Perform other related duties assigned by supervisor.


  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 0 to 3 years experience in Quality inspection of electronic components and in-process inspection of electronic printed circuit boards and assemblies.
  • 0-3 years experience with drawings and use standard measuring tools/instruments; Ability to use basic arithmetic including decimals and fractions.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Technical school certification or equivalent experience in electronic Quality Inspection preferred Clearance if desired

  • Must have excellent written and communication skills.

  • Basic computer skills required for data entry

  • Ability to lift various items up to 50 lbs in weight.

  • Have the ability to communicate and interface on various Quality related subjects daily.

  • Current or ability to obtain required certifications: IPC-A-610 "Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies" Certification, IPC J-STD-001 "Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies (Inspection module only). Certifications will be required no later than (2) weeks after being hired.

Responsible for the day-to-day activities of Quality Operation Specialists and/or Technicians and coordinating communications with external groups. Quality assurance activities include leading deviation handling, root cause analysis and CAPA development, coordinating document reviews to verify effectiveness of procedures and instructions, and providing training and coaching to Quality and Operations on SOP, GMP and root cause analysis. Personnel Management & Training (25%) * Manage / coordinate the daily tasks and administration of the Quality Operations team for their shift or area * Monitor budget for the team * Oversees performance and development of both their professional and non exempt direct reports * Provide training and coaching to Quality and Operations, on topics such as SOP, GMP and root cause analysis Issues Resolution/Continuous Improvement (60%) * Lead the effort to review deviations, determine root cause, and develop CAPAs in collaboration Quality, Operations staff and suppliers to address product quality issues and GMP related activities * Certify CAPA completion and effectiveness * Escalate critical issues as required * Lead the coordination of Investigations of customer and consumer complaints * Support and guide decisions around disposition out-of-spec materials * Provide expertise to support RFT goals and development of improvement initiatives with Quality Engineers, CI and ME * Monitor progress against improvement initiatives identified by Quality Engineers, CI and ME * Coordinate communications with external groups regarding quality issues (i.e. Operations, Quality Labs, Tech Services, Assembly, Packaging, SRP, Distribution and Vendors) Document Review & Auditing (15%) * Coordinate the documentation reviews in the quality team and provide feedback to the plant (production, importation and compounding) as applicable for compliance with existing procedures and instructions, and verify the effectiveness of procedures and instructions versus EL requirements and needs * Responsible (where applicable) for the Quality function during line trials for new products and components * Coordinate / support the revision and review of controlled documentation including procedures, investigations, deviations, and reports. * Participate in routine GMP, internal and corporate audits * Support and align to appropriate data integrity guidelines. Qualifications * Experience in Fast Paced Consumer Goods manufacturing environment a plus (Cosmetic, Food, or Pharma) * Knowledge of OTC Manufacturing a plus * Experience in interpreting and assessing operational compliance against Good Manufacturing Practice Regulations (FDA, KFDA, HC, ISO22716) * Experience in executing and coaching teams in root cause problem solving and associated Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) * Experience in executing, summarizing and managing process audits in the manufacturing areas * Ability to identify and drive process improvement opportunities by partnering with cross functional stakeholders * Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to appropriately communicate information to cross functional stakeholders and suppliers * Good team management skills * Knowledge and ability to execute statistical sampling, AQL/ANSI interpretation, and read/interpret specifications, drawings and compounding/assembly instructions * Ability to utilize standard tools and equipment (such as scale, fill weight, cap torque, viscometer, pH meter, pull force, seal burst, and other relevant equipment) * Ability to review SOP's, GMP reports, batch records and investigations * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Electronic QMS, and SAP systems is preferred * 4 year degree (OTC releases) or equivalent experience( non OTC suoervision) Job: Quality Assurance - Supply Chain Primary Location: US-PA-Bristol Job Type: Standard Schedule: Full-time Shift: 1st (Day) Shift Job Number: 210761 We are an equal opportunity employer.
