The Opportunity | Electronics Manufacturing Technician
Under direct supervision, the Electronics Manufacturing Technician performs functions associated with all electro-mechanical manufacturing operations, including translating operating instructions, drawings, and schematics into the production of parts, subassemblies, and modules. The Electronics Manufacturing Technician works with engineers in set-up, testing, and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.
Major Accountabilities /Deliverables
Responsible for reading and understanding drawings, build conditions and instructions, soldering, assembly, maintaining programs, assembly documentation, routings, and processes used in the fabrication of complex products.
Make recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new and existing processes.
Interface with the team to coordinate new product releases to production.
0-1 year experience in a similar role
Understanding of Ohm's law, electronic components and their functions, and basic troubleshooting
Good interpersonal, communication, and team-building skills
Basic math and computer skills (MS Office)
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Technical/Trade School preferred.
J-STD or IPC-610 certification is an asset
