In this role, you will be responsible for product design, development, documentation, and introduction into the manufacturing of electronic instrumentation products.
You will be responsible for internal product development and customer-driven projects. Develop new product ideas and produce documentation that allows the evaluation of concepts.
We are looking for candidates with the drive that can run projects with autonomy, and able to manage projects to ensure all aspects of the designs are completed to schedule.
Salary: 85k-110k
Onsite: Tempe, AZ
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
Experience with Altium Designer schematic capture and PCB layout. Experience designing for CE noise immunity and hazardous area approvals (Explosion Proof and Intrinsically Safe).
Familiarity with communication protocols (e.g. CANbus, Modbus, TCP/IP) is preferred.
Bachelor's degree (BSEE) from a four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3-5 years of electronics design engineering experience
Key Duties:
Develop designs for the electronic instrumentation product line and ensure products conform to relevant industry standards.
Review project/product specifications.
Provide initial evaluation of design requests and estimates to allow customer proposals to be created.
Develop realistic project schedules with milestones through completion.
Design, prototype, test, and document new products.
Transfer product knowledge to Sustaining Engineers and Production personnel for product implementation into manufacturing.
Familiar with embedded microcontrollers, communication protocols, and related hardware requirements.
