What you will do

As part of our Research & Development team you will get the exciting opportunity to support development of reliable and sophisticated Johnson Controls Fire Detection products and technologies.

How you will do it

• Electronic, electrical, and mechanical hardware assembly, prototype wiring and mechanical integration

• Testing, fault finding and repair of analogue and digital electronic assemblies under supervision

• Comply with company standards and procedures

• Liaise with R&D Engineering Staff, Draftsmen & Technical Authors

• Assisting engineers with projects and testing and maintenance of laboratory equipment

• Maintain adequate knowledge in relevant technical development

• Liaise with suppliers and service providers

• Participate in project management of diverse projects

What we look for

Required

• OND or equivalent in Electronics, Electrical or similar

• Experience in PCB assembly including surface mount

• Experience in system assembly including prototype wiring, testing & fault finding under supervision by Electronic Engineers

• Basic computer literacy

• Interpersonal skills to operate in a small team and with other teams

• Good communicator, both verbally and in writing

• Highly motivated; adaptable and willing to learn new techniques

• Quick to learn

• Tenacious in problem solving
