We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army's Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) aircraft.
This position is onsite in Fort Worth.
Avionics & Electrical
Develop Electronic Modules utilized in the control and monitoring of various systems on-board the aircraft. Tasks include circuit design, PC board layout, software design, verification and integration on Bell Helicopter products.
What you'll be doing as a Electronics Engineer
- Assist with the development, design, testing and certification documentation for new or modified printed circuit board modules for aircraft
- Apply electrical engineering theory and the operation of electronic test equipment to functionally test and troubleshoot avionics/electrical modules or systems
- Assist with validation of electronic circuit design concepts using SPICE software
- Design printed circuit board layouts using Altium design software
- Utilize VHDL to modify and maintain Programmable Logic Devices
- Assist with preparation of engineering certification reports to document system designs that meet the requirements of certification authorities
- Assist with preparation of functional test documents to verify proper operation of electronic assemblies
Skills You Bring To this Role
- Software programing experience with C program language
- Experience with Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) integrated circuits
- Experience with Complex Programmable Logic Device (CPLD)
- Programing experience with VHDL and Verilog
- Familiarity with the application of aerospace standards (DO-254, DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-454) or similar industry standards.
What you need to be successful
- At least 5 years of experience in Electronics Engineering or related field
- Bachelor's degree with a Major in Electrical Engineering.
- Advanced degrees will be considered as additional experience.
- Related degrees with relevant experience will be considered.
