What You'll Get to Do:
The successful candidate will take part in all stages of design, simulation, prototype, documentation, and manufacturing electronics. Tasks may include:
Engage in analog and digital electronics design, simulation, and prototyping. This includes devising circuit solutions, drawing schematics, designing PCB layouts, generating Gerber and NC Drill files, and documentation.
Program micro-controllers and digital Signal Processors (DSP) to provide accurate and timely execution of control algorithms and reliable communication with user's automation system.
Prepare technical reports, interact with Omnify to upload documents, introduce new parts, release ECO's, etc.
Engage in vendor qualification process. Communication with vendors may be required to provide feedback regarding manufacturing issues, devise solutions, and monitor process capability of the vendors.
Help manufacturing engineers to prepare work instructions (WI) and facilitate releasing NPI/ECM projects to production.
Engage in process improvement where you will monitor production closely to identify assembly/manufacturing issues and revise design to best fit TeraDiode's manufacturing capabilities
Review design requirements for various safety classes and draft TeraDiode's design guidelines for reliable and high-performing electronics
Document Panasonic's electronics design rules and preferred vendors in order to create seamless flow from design to manufacturing between TDI and Panasonic's SmartFactory Solutions (PSFS) division.
What You'll Bring:
Education & Experience:
Proficiency in simulation and computational tools such as MATLAB, SIMULINK, etc.
Proficiency in PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, Eagle, Allegro, etc.
Proficiency in programming TI controllers with Code Composer Studio
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Project management skills area plus
Effective communication and writing skills.
Knowledge and hands-on experience with optics and electronic systems, modulation formats and coherent technology
