Come be a part of our mission The NGMS Field Engineering team based in Baltimore, MD is seeking a talented and motivated Electronics Engineer to support our Customer’s Hardware in the Loop (HWIL) operations as well as the HWIL assets delivered to the Customer at their facilities by providing on-site technical support. The HWIL simulator will be used for both development of Software SW and verification of system performance. Roles and Responsibilities:

Perform hands-on integration and testing of sophisticated RF sensor systems, including both hardware and software components in development and production environments. Provide sustaining maintenance to the delivered systems including reprogramming; troubleshooting of failures or anomalies of the HWIL assets in the simulation environments; and replacement of failed components or assemblies. Support on site HWIL technical interchange meetings (TIMs) and on-site Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs). Support on site integration and training at each of the HWIL facilities.

Coordinates integrated testing activities that may include verification of system performance and the occasional flight test. Performs analysis for test results and prepares comprehensive reports. Uses modeling and simulation tools to expedite testing of individual units before all system components are available and for troubleshooting and repair of failed units.

Basic Qualifications for Electronics Engineer: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering or related STEM degree and with a minimum of 2 years of relevant technical work experience or Master’s degree with a minimum of 0 years of relevant technical work experience. Experience in hardware\software integration of embedded systems Detailed knowledge of RF systems including sensors and radar systems functionality and hardware Experience with lab support equipment such as digital oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers Experience with MATLAB, C, C++ Team Leadership experience with the demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines.

Excellent communication skills. Experience with specialized test equipment and tools used to troubleshoot/repair sensors, and radar in the field Ability and willingness to travel to customer locations that include business trips and short-term travel to customer facilities at domestic locations. Active Secret Clearance investigated within the last 5 years, with the ability to gain program specific clearances.

U.S. Citizenship is a pre-requisite Preferred Qualifications: Experience with modeling and simulation tools Knowledge of Radar modes Experience with AESA radar systems and modes of operation Experience with RF stimulator and RF target generator type systems Salary Range: $83,300 - $124,900 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
