MKS Power Solutions' products provide plasma generation and control solutions for semiconductor manufacturing processes. We are a key supplier to the world's largest electronics producers and are currently experiencing tremendous growth. We are open to new perspectives and ideas.

We are looking for an Electronics Engineer who can design, develop, troubleshoot and debug hardware and firmware for high power RF systems. You will support the development of new hardware subsystems, from specification to architecture, simulation, detailed design, component selection, layout, reliability prediction and test.

Opportunity to learn: High power RF, hardware and firmware

Duties Include:

  • Understand and negotiate breakdown of generator specification to electrical subsystem or circuit board

  • Determine feasibility and conduct tradeoffs between performance, cost, reliability, and time to market

  • Conduct first article test on new subsystem or circuit board, validate specifications, support development of factor subsystem test development

  • Support RF generator testing to validate operation in-situ

  • Find multiple sources and validate new sources to ensure continuity of supply

  • Take ownership of assigned subsystems throughout the product life cycle

What you bring to the team (along with your creativity and hard work):

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent engineering degree with electrical experience

  • 6 months+ of RF systems experience (school, internship and co-ops considered), ideally experience with RF test equipment

  • More experienced engineers are encouraged to apply

It's also nice if you have:

  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams (electrical, mechanical, software, manufacturing, and test)

  • Ability to support multiple efforts simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment

Plasma control presents many technical challenges which need innovative thinking and inquisitive engineering minds. As an Associate Electronics Engineer you will design, develop, troubleshoot and debug hardware and firmware for high power RF systems. It is ideal but not necessary that someone has experience in advanced product development for RF systems. You will participate in the development of new products and product enhancements. This involves gathering specifications, to architecture, simulations, detailed design, component selection, layout, reliability prediction and test. You will be responsible for: * Determining hardware compatibility and/or hardware design solutions * Supporting program and controlling algorithms for hardware enhancements, embedded controls and new product development * Analyzing and determining system hardware test standards and procedures * Understanding and negotiating breakdown of product specification to electrical subsystem or circuit board * Determining feasibility and conduct tradeoffs between performance, cost, reliability, and time to market * Conducting first article test on new subsystem or circuit board, validating specifications, supporting development of factor subsystem test development * Taking ownership of assigned subsystems throughout the project life cycle What You bring to the Team: * Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree It's also nice if you have: * Experience working in multidisciplinary teams (electrical, mechanical and software) * Ability to support multiple efforts simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment Other: * Travel up to 5% (after Covid) * This role can be hybrid; work and project dependent Globally, our policy is to recruit individuals from wide and diverse backgrounds.
