We're currently looking for an Electronics Design &Test Engineer to join our team in Farmington Hills, MI.

Role and responsibilities:

  • This role will be responsible for Electronics Component or System Project Developments supporting User Experience, Electrification, Autonomous Driving, or Connected Service.

  • Responsible area is either Passive safety ECUs, providing safety to customers in innovative vehicles or Body control related module(s) providing new features/conveniences to customers as a start.

  • Management and Responsibility for Quality, Cost and Time with supplier, cross-functional and global Nissan R&D team are required.

Job functions Include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for Project Develop and Management of Electronic Components/Systems to achieve program cost, quality, development, and delivery timing targets for New or Minor Change Projects in North America Production.

  • Collaborates with supplier, cross-functional team, and Nissan Japan R&D team to ensure vehicle performance, functionalities, and reliabilities.

  • Leads Americas region in area of responsibility providing regional requirements to Nissan R&D team as North America region frontline.

  • Builds Test Plan aligned with Vehicle development plan/requirements/customer use cases and conduct electrical buck/vehicle validation according to developed test plan/standard.

Minimum qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, or related discipline

  • Minimum 1 year of experience

  • Microsoft Office Tools knowledge

  • Be able to work independently and proactively with self-time & Task Management

  • Negotiation and communication skills with various stakeholders

  • Problem solving skills for either technical or non-technical issues

Other qualifications:

  • Experience in Electrical related Design and/or Test in Automotive industry

  • Understanding of Automobile Electronic, Vehicle communication networks such as CAN, LIN, Ethernet etc.

  • Understanding of Systems Engineering for Automotive application

  • Experience in using tools required for vehicle electronic development such as CAN Tools (CANoe / CANalyzer etc.), oscilloscope
