Description

The Electronics Design Engineer is responsible for designing and documenting new and innovative electronics for Fisher electric actuators and related products. The Electronics Design Engineer is an integral member of the New Product Development process, spanning product concepting, designing, validating, documenting PCB level electrical designs and pre-production preparedness through operations implementation and product launch. The position encompasses a variety of activities and projects helping to achieve business unit goals.

Responsibilities

  • Design electronic circuitry for use in industrial applications including motor drives

  • Collaborate with cross-functional design and development teams, both inside and outside of the business unit; work with suppliers and manufacturing sites

  • Investigate industry trends and adopt new technology

  • Generate product technical specifications, design and test plans

  • Perform and document engineering design calculations and verification tests

  • Assist in determining timelines and resource requirements for the project

  • Support the long-term vision and management of the business unit's product portfolio

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or similar engineering discipline.

  • Fundamental knowledge of analog and digital electronic components and their application

  • Design, analysis, and optimization of industrial electronics for performance, cost and manufacturability

  • Knowledge of various communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, CAN, RS485, RS232, USB

  • Experience with electrical engineering tools, including Simulation Tools (P-SPICE or LT-SPICE), Oscilloscopes, function generators

  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes

  • Effective communicator with good interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated organizational skills

  • Motivated self-starter, initiative driven, and ability to deal with ambiguity

  • Design/testing experience for EMC, CE/ATEX, CSA a plus

  • LabVIEW experience a plus

VIEW JOBS 10/18/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-01-16T00:00 Description The Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for achievement of company growth and profit goals through assessment of market needs and subsequent development of product plans, specifications, economic analysis and development of the overall worldwide marketing strategy within the Sliding Stem Business Unit portfolio. This role is intended to function as a strategic thinker, bringing focus and driving the development funnel for new products and sustaining products within the Sliding Stem product portfolio. This role will lead integration activities to add new or acquired product offerings to the portfolio. This role will work closely with new product development teams and focus on developing sales programs to drive profitability and volume growth. Responsibilities * Lead new product integration projects utilizing GP1 and GP9 processes, including but not limited to these major duties: * Create a disciplined strategy, process, and execution plan * Communicate with leadership team as to integration scope, schedule, budget, resources and risks. * Assist with planning and coordinating initiative scope, schedule, launch and communication strategy, risks and mitigations, training strategy, milestones and needed resources. * Aid Operations and Global Supply Chain in developing the global supply and manufacturing strategy * Adhere and meet ISO9001:2015 quality management systems for process and documentation control. * Execute the cross-functional integration strategy * Travel 10-15% to support integration. * Support Emerson's planning process and profit reviews. * Analyze global sales, units, profitability and relative price position to develop key strategies for product growth and profit improvement. Implement action plans via world area functional organizations. * Identify modifications to existing and new product requirements through global customer interviews, sales interviews, conjoint analysis, survey customer councils, competitive analysis, global standard development and trends. * Control and coordinate significant product parameters throughout lifecycle (i.e., structural pricing, complexity, changes in market use, customer value proposition, warranty, platform improvements, etc.). * Develop market and customer requirements that are critical for commercial and technical success of new products and product improvements. * Work with New Product Development teams to progress projects and ensure market needs are met * Validate product concepts with customers. * Develop and execute product launch plans, including supporting literature and sales strategies to achieve project financial goals. * Prepare appropriation requests for capital equipment and other funding requirements in support of current and new products. * Ensure project documentation compliance to Emerson, Flow Controls, and international quality control standards * Conduct competitive analysis; determine market sizes, segmentation, own and competitions share, features and benefit differentiation. * Work with Global Industry Sales and Fisher Sales Channels globally to ensure new product knowledge and sales strategy is in place. * Create promotional Ad campaigns and works with Global Industry Sales on implementation of the programs. Requirements * B.S. Engineering or B.B.A Marketing or equivalent experience. Six plus years' industry related technical experience may be considered in lieu of the degree. * 4 years of industry experience * Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, time management, presentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills * Ability to lead diverse groups to achieve common objectives * Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal and written communication skills * Ability to develop strong global relationships * Good understanding of finance and financial principles * Demonstrated organizational and planning skills * Knowledge of Fisher & Baumann™ products desirable * Familiarity and relationship with Fisher sales channels strongly desired Work Authorization No calls or agencies please.
