What You Will Be Doing

  • Design switch mode AC-DC and DC-DC power conversion circuit topologies such as push-pull self oscillating, fly-back, forward, boost, buck and buck-boost converters

  • Hardware and software design involving embedded systems using microcontrollers

  • Design and evaluate products, parts, or processes for cost efficiency and reliability

What You Need for this Position

  • Must have at least 5 years industry experience working on firmware/electronics based product development, testing and validation

  • Must have knowledge and design experience with switch mode AC-DC and DC-DC power conversion circuit topologies such as fly-back, forward, boost, buck and buck-boost converters

  • Must clearly demonstrate a proven track record creating embedded software for 8 - 32 bit microcontrollers

VIEW JOBS 11/20/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-18T00:00 <strong><u>Engineering Manager-Software & Electronics</u></strong><br /> Potential Location(s): <strong>Greenville, SC</strong><br />  <br /> <strong>Term:</strong> Permanent<br /> <br /> Our client is located in Greenville, SC and is a top producer of Automotive Tier 1 and Tier 2 components for fuel and thermal management solutions as well as seating comfort systems.  Their core production technology is precision injection molding.  Our client is looking for an innovative <strong>Engineering Manager</strong> to manage their growing Electronics Engineering and Technicians group.  This is a high-level position that will report directly to the President of the company.<br /> <br /> <strong>Performance Objectives:</strong> <ul> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Successfully manage a growing Electronics Engineering and Technician team responsible for the design, development, testing, and debug of software and electronics; defining software and electronics requirements and cost effective in-house and third part testing. </li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Successfully direct software and electronic development to assure scope, cost, quality, process improvement, product improvement, adequate testing and timing are in the best interest of the Client and their partners.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Creation of development timing, resource planning, and overall budget needs.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Direct and control third party software providers, controlling scope and costs and insuring that they are working in Client’s best interest.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Conduct software reviews of internal and third party’s efforts, monitoring software development to assure scope, cost, and timing are in the best interest of Client and their partners; Utilize techniques such as CMMI and SPICE to manage directed or third-party software development.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Act as Client’s representative for software and electronics issues with OE’s, Tier 1 customers, third party software and electronics partners, and Client’s global teams.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Navigate customer software/electronic requirements, organization, and systems, building consensus with all parties involved to optimize software development and testing.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Manage software changes – controlling them technically and financially.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Attend regular customer reviews, providing input and direction as needed.</li> <li style="padding: 0;
