Job Description:

Provide technical support for the troubleshooting and repair of sophisticated Electronic Warfare (EW) systems installed in the EA-18G , EA-6B Prowler aircraft including AN/ALQ-99 Tactical Jamming System transmitters, receivers, universal exciters and other associated electronic systems to render operational and provide life cycle support. (ref para 3.8) Troubleshoot and repair the test benches and associated diagnostic equipment. On-equipment work shall encompass chassis, wire harness, and connector repairs; micro miniature circuit repairs/mods; dielectric fluid coolant and air-cooling heat transfer systems, high-power radio frequency (RF) device testing and adjustment, and validation of calibration requirements.

Major test benches and automated test equipment (ATE) utilized include: AN/USM-636 Consolidated Automated Support System (CASS) and CASS with High Power Device Test Set AN/USM-467 Radar Communications Test Station (RADCOM) OJ-615/ALM Transmitter Test Station (TTS) AN/ALM-249, -250, and 251 Countermeasures Transmitter Module Test Benches (TMTB) OK-441A/ALM Control Computer Group GT-3A

Qualifications:

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School diploma and 6 years of experience.

Clearance Requirement:

  • Must currently possess or be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.
