Under general supervision engages in the calibration, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electronic components on the plant floor ensuring continuous operation with minimal downtime.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Participates in the setup of standard test to evaluate performance and reliability the equipment.
Troubleshoots equipment and develops timely solutions.
Installs components, units and printed circuit boards following specifications.
Maintains pneumatic and electronic process control instruments.
Customizes units and adjusts/repairs per written specifications.
Ensures that measurement equipment is calibrated and accurate (i.e. power meters, frequency counters, pulse generators).
Assists with electronic parts inventory.
Performs overhaul, cleaning and repairs of electronic equipment during post season.

SPECIFIC JOB TASKS TO BE MASTERED
Proficiency in Electronic AC and DC Theory
Basic electronic troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of schematics
Knowledge of PC applications (e.g.- Microsoft Office)
Knowledge of various meters for troubleshooting
Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot and repair the following:
Ink jet Printers
Electronic Scales (i.e.-Multipond, Ishida, Yamato, etc.)
Various QC Test Equipment (i.e.-Moisture Analyzers, Bar Code)
Optical Sorting Machines
Conveyor Belt Scales(Check-weighers)
Sortex Sorting Machines
PH Analog Sensors
BEST Sorting Machines
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum level of education required
Minimum number of year(s) of experience required in addition to education plus type(s) of functional experience
Other required type(s) of functional experience (e.g. Production/Operations, Accounting, Forklift Operator, Inventory Control, etc.)
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES (Specialized education, specific software experience, etc.)
Experience performing basic maintenance on electrical systems in a manufacturing facility.
College level courses in electronics, pneumatics and hydraulics.
Experience working in a team environment.
The position may require the ability to meet the physical demands of heavy lifting to carry out the assigned duties. May be required to attend outside training seminars. Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
Position may require employee to work around energized equipment and is routinely exposed to hazardous materials. Position may require the exposure to various adverse conditions such as, heat, cold, noise, dust, fumes, dirt, and grease, and chemical substance.
