Electronic Technician

Randstad is currently seeking experienced, motivated, and reliable Maintenance Electricians for a DIRECT HIRE opportunity

DETAILS:

Seeking a candidate that performs maintenance, service, and repairs on industrial manufacturing equipment and facilities. They must have the ability to troubleshoot and repair controls mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Must be proficient at reading electrical and mechanical schematics. Will be required to perform other facility maintenance functions (plumbing, welding, fabrication, HVAC, etc). Must be a self-starter with the ability to critically think and problem solve on their own.

SHIFTS AVAILABLE:

1st Shift

  • 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM

2nd Shift

  • 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

-$24.00 - $25.00/hr Based off of experience

  • Benefits include Dental, Medical, Eye, and 401k

Working hours: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM

SKILLS:

-Maintenance Electrician Experience

This person must be an experienced well-rounded candidate that has ample experience in all areas of maintenance including electrical, mechanical, facilities maintenance, fabricating, etc. The bulk of what we are looking for is the electrical as most of the equipment they would be working on has either electric, pneumatic or PL controls. Must have experience with HVAC maintenance. A more extensive experience with PLC's would be a plus. Ability to understand basics of PLC's such as tracking down error codes to troubleshoot etc. would be required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma

  • At least four years of experience in the maintenance field

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be willing to submit to a background and drug test.

  • Must be able to provide 2 professional references.

  • Must be willing to complete physical exam.

VIEW JOBS 11/3/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-01T00:00 Job Description: The Electrical, Electronic and Electromechanical Parts (EEE) Engineer supports Glenn Research Center (GRC) Power Propulsion Element (PPE) and is responsible for reviewing all parts for reliability related performance and advises the projects on part selection, conducts scientific experiments or theoretical analysis to determine the physical behavior of parts in a space-like radiation environment, oversees part procurement to ensure compliance with engineering requirements and maintains part inventories. * Implement the electronic parts program for flight projects. * Advise projects on the electronic part selection that maximizes reliability while considering schedule and cost constraints. * Oversee electronic part procurement to ensure compliance with engineering requirements and maintain part inventories. * Stay current with the latest developments within the EEE parts community and counterfeit parts prevention through the use of GIDEP and its database. Conduct parts list searches for projects to ensure components have not been identified with known issues. Support the development of parts procurement specifications based on project reliability and assurance requirements. * Apply advanced understanding of electronic parts and project risk to define part quality requirements at onset of project work. * Estimate budgets for projects or large instruments that reflect multifunctional and/or multidisciplinary scope and monitor expenditures to assess the need for technical changes. * Report on screening and/or failure test results and advise senior management and project. * Advise project management on highly complex electronic part selections that maximize reliability while considering schedule and cost constraints. * Report status for all elements of the electronic parts program to project management at monthly and project reviews. * Serve as an essential team member within the project, ensuring part reviews, screening, testing, and procurement meet project schedule and budget. Required Skills: * This position requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science/Engineering, Applied Mathematics or related technical discipline with typically a minimum of 5 years of related experience; Master's degree in similar disciplines with a minimum of 3 years of related experience; or a PhD in similar disciplines with a minimum of 1 year related experience. * Extensive understanding and experience in the selection, procurement, manufacture use, and testing/screening of high reliability electronic parts for space-flight applications. * Ability to multi-task with an established track record of meeting milestone schedules. * Excellent written and oral communication skills. * Deep understanding and substantial use of common computer tools. * Demonstrated leadership skills. * Candidate must be proficient with the use of Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, for presentations, reports, and other uses. Previous experience at NASA or other Federal Agencies is preferred. 10% Travel is anticipated. * Must be a US citizen * Must be able to pass a national agency check * Must be able to pass pre-employment and periodic random drug and alcohol screenings. Other Desired Skills: * Knowledge of Military, NASA, and JEDEC specifications and requirements related to electronic parts. * Knowledge of radiation effects in the deep-space environment. * Ability to work well with cross-functional teams, design engineers, line management, and project management. * Position requires a competent communicator (verbal and written) with ability to work effectively with co-workers, Bastion Management and all levels of customer personnel. * Required to be regular in attendance (per agreed to work hours schedule), consistently punctual and be relied upon to successfully complete all assignments.
