Electronic Technician Maintenance II

Service Contract Agreement Position.

KBR is seeking to hire an Electronics Maintenance Technician in support of U.S. Government CCTV Lifecycle Support Service program. The successful candidate will be tasked with the following:

  • Provide preventive and remedial maintenance services on IP-based CCTV systems.

  • Diagnose and correct equipment malfunctions and failures.

  • Perform function tests and analysis on various systems.

  • Perform preventative maintenance and cleaning on all CCTV system components.

  • Provide on-site system training and technical support as needed.

  • Update web-based maintenance management system and provide tracking of government equipment.


  • High School diploma or GED.

  • Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or four (4) year electronics apprentice program.

  • Formal electronics training, to include: Installation Tasks, Soldering, Cable Dressing, Cable Tray, Conduit, and Making/Repairing Connectors.


  • Four (4) years of practical experience, to include: electronics repair, maintenance and checkout.

  • One (1) year practical experience in electronics installation.

  • IP-based CCTV experience preferred.


  • 70% travel is required; candidate must be willing to travel throughout the United States and internationally.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • A successful candidate must have a solid history of functioning in a team environment, being a self-starter, working independently with limited instruction, and meeting critical demands.

  • Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills and have the ability to work in a fast paced environment with attention to detail.

  • Standard MS Office software product knowledge (Word, Outlook, Excel and Power Point) is required.

  • Special consideration given to candidates with OEM factory training from Genetec, Axis and/or Cisco Switches

KBR is seeking Electronic Technician Maintenance candidates who have experience working with Electronic Security Systems. Job Duties: * Performs a variety of in-depth technical functions required in the maintenance and repair of security equipment and systems. Involved in troubleshooting, replacing components and wiring circuits; repairing electronic equipment; and taking test readings using common instruments such as digital multi-meters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers and oscilloscopes. Work requires knowledge of basic and advanced electrical and electronic principles as they pertain to security systems and equipment installed at facilities; the ability to understand and follow technical guidance such as circuitry and layouts where available; the ability to locate, repair or replace equipment as required; the ability to troubleshoot complex security systems, hardware and software; the ability to independently assess and resolve security system problems; the ability to configure computers, communications devices and peripheral equipment; ability to provide in-depth technical assistance to other technicians when called upon to assist in corrective maintenance and restoration activities. Requirements: * Successful completion an Associate's degree in a technical related field or equivalent related experience, and knowledge of OSHA general safety standards and the proper care and usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) * A minimum of eight years of experience in installation, troubleshooting, and wiring of electrical/electronic equipment is required.
