Electronics Technician-2nd Shift

Danfoss has an opening in its Loves Park, Illinois facility for a Second Shift Electronic Technician. This position is responsible for field return analysis and drive troubleshooting and repair, as well as providing technical support for production test equipment. The Electronic Technician will also assist in the design, assembly and maintenance of production test equipment in support of the Test Engineering Department.
Drive troubleshooting and repair in production test.
Perform function test of larger stand-alone drives using automated test.
Provide technical support for the production test equipment and production systems.
Assist the quality department in root cause analysis of component failures.
May perform periodic maintenance and improvements for test equipment.
Diagnose issues and failures in production equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Minimum Skills Required
Associates Degree from 2 year college or technical school in Electrical or Electronics Engineering. Relevant experience will be considered.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documents.
Ability to analyze data/information and present to peers and managers.
Experience with assembly, electrical wiring, and hand tools.
PC knowledge, i.e. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Knowledge of databases and forms in Oracle are a plus.
Basic understanding of Variable Frequency Drives and 3 phase motor systems a plus.
Good analytical skills and communication skills.
Must be able to function well in a team or group environment.
Ability to work in a production environment and interact with production personnel.
