Job Description

SemiGroup is in the process of interviewing Electronics Technician candidates with some mechanical aspects of this job position.

This position will require the ability to work on electro mechanical assemblies that are a sub-assembly of a larger Semiconductor Manufacturing Piece of Equipment.

Although not required, knowledge of the following areas of discipline are desired.

Mechanical Ability to work with your hands.

Electronics Theory and Electronics Experience as well as light soldering and troubleshooting of electro-mechanical assemblies.

Understanding on Pneumatic systems and components.

Theelectronics technicianprovides skilled mechanical and electrical/electronicsupport to all areas of manufacturing and refurbishment areas.

High Vacuum Theory Understanding Desired.

Job Duties include troubleshooting and repairing assemblies used in Semiconductor Manufacturing Equipment.

The ideal candidate will have electrical and mechanical assembly experience, excellent communication skills and be proficient in reading and understanding wiring diagrams, pinout instructions, engineering drawings, and assembly instructions. The successful applicant will be responsible for the manufacturing, testing, and quality of mechanical and electrical products sold by Thermo Fisher Scientific EFA Richardson, TX Division. Job Requirements: * Associate degree in an Electronics or Technology field prefered or 3 years of related experience. * A minimum of two years' experience assembling and troubleshooting complex, detailed, electrical and mechanical components and systems. * Experience in a production-oriented environment; specially following standard operating procedures and manufacturing schedules. * Strong work ethic and organizational skills * Fluently speak, read, and write English * Capable of lifting 35 pounds unassisted * Able to work sitting or standing for extended periods of time Desired Skills: * Candidate that's detail oriented, a self-starter and can work with minimal supervision. * Familiar with quality management systems and safety programs. * Have appropriate visual acuity and hand/eye coordination to assemble, manipulate, and test small, precision electronic and mechanical components. * The ability to read and understand wiring diagrams, pinout instructions, engineering drawings, and assembly instructions. * Proficient with standard electronic assembly and testing equipment including, but not limited to soldering irons, multimeters, crimp tools, torque tools, etc. * Strong verbal and written communications skills. * Basic computer proficiency and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Organizational Relationships: Reports directly to Manufacturing Supervisor. May perform work for other teams, as required.
