This position is for a full-time Electronic Systems Technician and the position holder will be responsible for operating, programing, maintaining and installing Audio/Video, Electronic Security and other electronic systems for events and facility operations to insure the maintenance and improvement of the overall appearance and integrity of the facility, building structure(s) and building systems to provide a superior experience to the guests of Raymond James Stadium.

The Electronic Systems Technician shall be responsible for the management, coordination and supervision of the day-to-day activities of the Part-Time Electronic/AV Systems Technicians and the technology contractors insuring that technical services are provided in an efficient, effective, and timely manner.

In addition, the Electronic Systems Technician shall assist in the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures designed to promote efficiency of operation, quality of service and a safe work environment.


An Assosciate's degree from a two-year electronics technical education program.


High School or posession of a GED; and

Four years of experience in the maintenance and repair of audio, video, and CCTV systems.


  • Considerable knowledge of the principles of electricity.

  • Considerable knowledge of audio, video, CCTV, card access, networking for maintenance, repairs and operation.

  • Working knowledge of the functions and operations of audio/ video, networking, electronic security, structured cabling and other electronic systems.

  • Working knowledge of electronics technology.

  • Working knowledge of the function and operation of electronic controlling, measuring, recording, transmitting, testing and diagnostic equipment.

  • Working knowledge of electrical industry standards and the National Electrical Code.

  • Working knowledge of CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation and the ability to use and AED (Automated External Defibrillator).

  • Some knowledge of the laws and regulations governing operating standards and specifications of the area to which assingned.

  • Skill in the use of electronic testing, diagnostic and repair tools and equipment.

  • Ability and willingness to be in an on-call status and work irregular schedules, including evenings, weekends and holidays; the performance of work assignments may not be directly related to job specifications; Adjustments of shifts, overtime, breaks, etc. may be required upon short notice.

  • Ability to detect, analyze and repair malfunctions on electronic equipment.

  • Ability to read and understand electronic diagrams and schematics.

  • Ability to interact with fellow employees, clients, the general public and outside vendors in a courteous, cooperative and professional manner, and work effectively with others.

  • Ability to maintain a high public image, positive attitude and demeanor when performing a service for customers and the general public in the facilities.

  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to operate a standard motor vehicle safely.

  • Ability to operate mechanical and powered maintenance equipment including forklifts, high-lifts and scissor-lifts.

  • Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time.

  • Ability to lift over 50 lbs. and work in non-conditioned environment.

  • Oversees the day-to-day operational policies and procedures for the Technology Department and provides overall administrative supervision while planning, organizing, scheduling, assigning, monitoring, analyzing and correcting work assignments of the Part-Time Electronic/AV Systems Technicians and the technology contractors at Raymond James Stadium; Assures the highest quality service to all tenants by overseeing established goals for Technology Department personnel.

  • Operates, installs, modifies, calibrates, tests, maintains, troubleshoots, repairs and performs preventative maintenance at the component level, on diversified electronic equipment and associated subassemblies utilized in operations of data communications, wireless communications, networking, TV and video monitoring, CCTV, sound amplification/distribution and security systems.

  • Locates and corrects equipment failures and supervises the wiring and repairs of low voltage wiring and devices; Plans and estimates costs of repairs on structured cabling and equipment.

  • Provides event support, and creates and codes requisitions as directed.

  • Participates in the interviewing, hiring, training, coaching and development of technology department personnel and private contractors in accordance with established guidelines and procedures; Ensures the development, ongoing improvement, and implementation of formalized training and education programs for the Technology Department.

  • Conducts regular facility inspections to review facility, sound amplification/distribution, CCTV, security, wireless communications, networking, TV and video monitoring systems; Shares findings and observations with departmental managers or coordinators to assist in maintaining a superior level of facility function, polish and efficiency, and review and recommend equipment, supplies and materials required to provide services to Authority and their clients.

  • Coordinates departmental participation in the preventive maintenance program; Ensures department compliance and maintenance of equipment/systems database.

  • Attends and participates in meetings necessary for conducting internal and external business; Conducts team meetings with team to share relevant information and gain feedback relating to methods to improve service to customers, both internal and external, and to insure efficient operations of the facilities for events; Attendance and/or travel may be required for meetings held off site.

  • Coordinates, maintains and acts as a liaison with outside organizations, other governmental departments, private firms and clients and electronic systems service contractors, to include, but not limited to CCTV, building security, sound amplification/distribution, TV and video reception/distribution/production, data connectivity, wireless communications environmental agencies, construction services and other miscellaneous trades who provide services for the facilities and events.

  • Reviews departmental purchases and contractor invoices; Follows all appropriate purchasing procedures accurately.

  • Participates in budget meetings and provides input relating to expenditure projection; Verifirs proper coding of all Technology department purchases to ensure accurate accounting and enough data for appropriate planning and expenditure projecting.

  • Provides leadership on continuous improvement and team building efforts; Participates in employee committees and staff meetings emphasizing team management, high morale and quality service to Authority customers.

  • Seeks out, develops, and assists in the participation in industry related associations and trade shows in support of quality service to our clients; Keeps abreast of innovations, improvements in procedures, and developments within the operational aspects of our industry to seek better methods to improve efficiency, levels of service, personnel performance, and reducing operating costs.

  • Provides a safe environment free of harassment for department employees and ensure compliance with all Authority policies, applicable OSHA standards and local, state, and federal laws including the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.

  • Uses computer terminal to enter and retrieve information and prepares logs and reports as required; Creates and maintains facility technology department maintenance logs, filing system and records to ensure that all technology department personnel, equipment, and supplies are accurately maintained.

  • Performs other related duties as required.
