We are looking for an experienced technician with Radia/CAE experience to join our Electronic Software Distribution team. As a part of the Perspecta organization, an Electronic Software Distribution deployer is responsible for the distribution of core and CLIN software to enterprise workstations, along with vulnerability maintenance and reporting.
Specific Job Duties Include: Coordinate/manage/assign software policy to all workstations in the enterprise Coordinate the timing of required GPOs for new software with Directory Services team Coordinate the timing of required EMT updates (enterprise workstation configurations) for new software with Directory Services Work directly with NNWC and PMW customers during early adoption phase of new software Create and execute basic PowerShell scripts on the network to resolve enterprise/widespread software issues Create/Revise enterprise deployment plans as needed based on customer requirements and impact and risk to the enterprise Identify application incompatibilities, particularly for Non-Core solutions, and recommend solutions Address unique/non-standard configurations at the site/machine level Resolve tickets for software problems that cannot be resolved by Service Desk, Field Services, Remote Desktop Management, or Client Service Monitor software deployments and provide status reports to leadership and team leads Investigate/resolve a wide variety of software problems that cannot be resolved with an existing SOP Deviate from existing SOPs to solve complex software issues and then develop new SOPs as needed based on the findings (these deviations may include changes to the entire network and can have devastating consequences if not made correctly) Make recommendations back to Engineering when software isn't working as intended Review/interpret computer log files to determine root cause of software issues Review/interpret Radia software installation files to determine root cause of software issues Coordinate the release of new software into the environment via Change Management process and communication with stakeholders Support new projects requiring implementation, creation of SOPs, etc such as the upgrade from WindowsXP to Windows7 Ensure that software being deployed to the enterprise does not introduce vulnerabilities and incompatibilities with workstation configurations or other applications
Must be able to be assigned to an 'On-Call' rotation Security+ CE certification Strong knowledge and hands on experience with Radia/CAE Scripting Experience Experience with Active Directory Management DESIRED: Degree (technical field); may hold Bachelors degree 2 years' experience supporting a DoD network Microsoft Certifications
Sills needed: Advanced Remote Troubleshooting Abilities, Understanding of IAVA/B process and vulnerability management, Working knowledge of Radia, Software Distribution experience, PowerShell Experience
