Remote - Assists users and department staff with implementing, maintaining, and upgrading systems used by assigned department staff to manage the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, and various ancillary systems. Also, identifies and helps resolve deficiencies and production issues alongside business and technical (IT) teams.Essential Functions and Responsibilities: * Responsible for documenting business processes/procedures and making recommendations for upgrades/improvements. * Responsible for the on-going maintenance, testing, development of workflows, workflow analysis, technical build/configuration, change documentation, and application deployment/support of EMR systems. * Leads site pre-assessment visits for subsidiaries and sites transitioning to EMR, to ensure overall readiness. Also, services as the primary IT applications resources and support during subsidiary and site activations. * Configures Electronic Health Record (EHR) and related systems, including user security, parameter settings, and business rules. Responsible for solution build within the EMR for any new hospital, service line, acute, and ambulatory venues (as applicable). * Manages small projects. Document issues, action items, user requirements, or deliverables from project meetings. * Assists leaders, core teams, and architects in feasibility studies of new technologies and systems. * Creates technical documentation detailing configurations, application environments, problem solutions, and knowledge-based articles for the EMR departmental team.Required: * Bachelor's degree in a healthcare field, or information technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience. (equivalency is Associate degree plus 5 years of experience working in either healthcare reimbursement or as an IT analyst)* Minimum 5 years (10 years without Bachelor's degree) information systems support experience in one or more of the following Cerner Revenue Cycle disciplines:*
  • Charge Services/Revenue Integrity* HIM* Patient Access (Registration, Scheduling, CPM, Win32)* Patient Accounting * Minimum 5 years healthcare revenue cycle or clinical experience (10 years without Bachelor's degree)* Ability to travel to offices in all McLaren Regions.
