These National Guard positions are for TWO WG-2610-12 ELECTRONIC INTEGRATED SYSTEMS MECHANIC (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D0872P01 in SPMD 4622 and is part of the MO Army Aviation Support Facility Ft Leonard Wood.

APPOINTMENT FACTORS: These are Permanent Excepted Service positions. These are bargaining positions.

  • Performs operational checks, inspections, tests and troubleshooting on electronic integrated systems composed of a number of sensor subsystems.

  • Completes operational checks, inspections, tests and troubleshooting of Line Replaceable Units (LRU).

  • Isolates unusual malfunctions using technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams, tools and test equipment including automatic test equipment.

  • Completes bench check, testing, repair, inspection, modification, programming, reprogramming, mating, adjusting, alignment, and analyzing of LRUs and shop replaceable units.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an Excepted Service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard.   • CMF 15; MOS 94E, 94R, 94W, 94Y or 94Z

Supervisor must verify that selected individual occupies a compatible military position. Technicians will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor or wage leader (grade inversion).

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience, education, or training, in a variety of operations or situations concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered; and experience using computer and automation systems.

WG-12 Specialized Experience: Must possess 18 months of specialized experience in utilizing principles, basic functions and application of theory of electronics to one or more complex integrated systems; experience which required you to solve varied arithmetic problems, including computation of unstated values on drawings, requiring trigonometry and algebra; experience which required you to understand effects of malfunctions throughout interrelated units; diagnosing and determining needed repairs for malfunctions in electronic systems where knowledge of the entire system is necessary to interpret error data and trace back through a number of units of the system to locate deficiencies; and interpreting and applying drawings, schematics and diagrams for integrated electronic systems.

Leonard Wood * ID: 6506 * Full-Time/Regular Summary: This job position is located at Fort Leonard Wood, MO and supports the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical and Biological Defense (JPEO-CBD) requirement for Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) services. This FSR will provide technical and service-level support for the maintenance and repair of CBRNE equipment/systems/components to include the Joint Biological Point Detection System (JBPDS). Essential Job Functions: (not limited to duties as described - performs related duties as requested) * <li>Provide Maintenance (above crew / operator level) of CBRNE equipment / systems / components * Performs installation, test, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electro/mechanical systems to include a variety of chemical/biological detection equipment * Ensure all components function properly prior to shipping them to the fielded military units. * Ensure all classroom JBPDS systems are operational and ready for each training class * Meet all Logistics Response Time (LRT) requirements whether at home station or away * Support units (Reserve and Nation Guard) during annual and field training exercises * Utilize OEM-certified parts identified in Technical Manuals * Ensure the Logistic Information System (Maximo) is updated of time between diagnostics and repairs Other duties as assigned Level of Supervision: Works unsupervised in a reliable manner to complete all tasks within schedule and quality standards.
