Job Description:

Job Duties:

  • Installs or assist with the installation of conduit, wire, cable, equipment, components and devices associated with

fire, security, and energy management systems.

  • Installs and mounts electric/electronic controls, devices, panels, sensors, and components.

  • Performs interlock wiring as required.

  • Performs wiring check out and assists with systems start up.

  • Performs tasks related to the panel fabrication.

  • Disconnects and dismantles electric/electronic instruments, panels, sensors, components, etc. as necessary.

  • Coordinates with or advises supervision about the requirements for material and supplies to ensure timely delivery

to the job site.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • 1 yr installation or 3 yrs electrical trade experience.

  • Must be able to acquire local certifications and licenses.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Must be physically able to climb, work in high places and/or confined spaces.

  • Must be able to differentiate types/colors of wire.

  • Qualified Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the Unites States. Qualified Applicants will not require employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future for employment in the United States.

  • Individual must possess a valid Driver's license in good standing

  • Individual must be at least 21 years of age in order to participate in the required Siemens vehicle plan

Candidates must be able to accommodate night and weekend work as needed. This position will: Perform tasks involving physical labor at building construction projects. May operate hand and power tools of all types. May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, and clean up rubble and debris. May assist other craft workers in their trades. Mop, brush, or spread paints, cleaning solutions or other compounds over surfaces to clean them or to provide protection. Operate jackhammers and drills to break up concrete or pavement. Place, consolidate, and protect case-in-place concrete or masonry structures. Position, join, align, and seal structural components, such as concrete wall sections and pipes. Shovel cement and other materials into portable cement mixers; and mix, pour, and spread concrete. Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials. Smooth and finish freshly poured cement or concrete, using floats, trowels, screeds, or powered cement finishing tools. Spray materials through hoses to clean, coat, or seal surfaces. Tend machines that pump materials through spray-guns for application to ceilings and walls. Tend pumps, compressors, and generators to provide power for tools, machinery, and equipment. Lubricate, clean, and repair machinery, equipment, and tools. Apply caulking compounds by hand or using caulking guns. Build and position forms for pouring concrete, and dismantle forms after use, using saws, hammers, nails, or bolts. Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards. Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, and compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, and rakes. Erect and disassemble scaffolding, shoring, braces, traffic barricades, ramps, and other temporary structures. Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specifications. Mix ingredients to create compounds for covering or cleaning surfaces. Provide assistance to craft workers, such as carpenters and concrete finishers. Demolish structures and salvage useful materials. * Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings and other structure. Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Safe use of power tools such as saws, drills, planes, sanders, routers and grinders. Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
