Electronic Design Engineer, Principal - Device/Process
Job Description:
Develop GaN HEMT MMW device and MMIC technology for improved telecom and A&D RF performance
Develop advanced process flows and assess status of wafers through the fabrication process
Technical Project Management using NTI framework for manufacturable technology introduction
Prepare and present technical and programmatic presentations
Perform technical task associated with Government S&T (existing and future).
Coordinate with team of other scientists, engineers, and technicians to develop materials and fabrication processes
Minimum Qualifications:
PhD in Physics, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering or related field is required
Extensive experience in III-V or GaN-related microwave device development
Previous direct or indirect experience with physical semiconductor device modeling techniques
Deep knowledge in metrology methods (e.g, AFM, CD-SEM, overlay, ellipsometry, interferometry, profilometry) to identify process issues and
trouble shooting
Solid foundation of using material characterization techniques needed for understanding materials interaction with device performance: STEM, EDS, SIMS, PL, XRD, CV, Eddy Current, XPS, etc.
Due to ITAR restrictions, candidate must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years experience in design and fabrication of RF microwave and MMW devices, particularly those requiring e-beam lithography.
Areas of competence should include CAD-layout, Etch, Photolithography, Metal Deposition, Diffusion, Wet Processing, Implant, NPI, SPC, DOE's and backend processing
Ability to work with Test Engineering to develop custom device testing methods: dc, Pulsed and RF.
Strong foundation in using data analysis tools such as JMP, Matlab, Python, etc.
Strong statistical knowledge for large data mining from database
RF measurement experience at Ku-band and MMW frequencies a strong plus.
RF circuit design background a strong plus.
Experience with proposal writing and principal investigator on Government S&T projects
