Electronic Component Engineer

Ontic's Chatsworth, CA, site specializes in precision engineering, MRO, and new solutions for parts at risk of obsolescence. With over 1,300 employees across four time zones and seven sites, we have more than doubled in size since 2019 and are continuing to grow at pace.

Our team is looking for an Electronic Component Engineer to join them. You will report to the Engineering Manager and will have an Onsite work structure in Chatsworth, Ca.

To be considered for the Electronic Component Engineer opening, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

• BS in electrical, systems, or related scientific field (or equivalent military experience)

• 3+ years of experience in electronic/electrical manufacturing obsolescence support

• Familiarity with CAD/other design software

• Familiarity with Military and Commercial aircraft contracting and purchase orders

• Familiarity with component obsolescence solutions such as IHS specs and standards

As a Electronic Component Engineer, you will:

• Solve aerospace electronic component obsolescence issues related: radar

• Electronic components such as relays, IC's, passive and active components, thru-hole and surface mount, etc.

• Write qualification planning to MIL-STD-810, RCA DO-160, etc.

• Assist suppliers with electronic obsolescence and other technical issues.

• Occasionally work hands-on with qualification testing

• Lead the development and implementation of a robust obsolescence management system.

Salary Range:

• $95,000-$105,000/year, based on experience Jason?
