Electronic Banking Specialist

Banesco USA is seeking an Electronic Banking Specialist for our Electronic Banking Unit.

Primary Job Duties:

  • Develops daily, weekly, monthly and ad-hoc operational reports on key performance metrics and analyzes the results and provides recommendations to management to improve performance.

  • Compiles and accurately reports all financial data as required by Management via various output reports and creates specialized reports, spreadsheets, graphs and charts as requested.

  • Prepares Welcome Letters packages and sends them to Online Banking/Treasury Management customers.

  • Thoroughly cross-trained in all the Electronic Banking Department's tasks and responsibilities, which include but is not limited to Online Banking functionalities, Treasury Management Service Implementations (Remote Deposit, ACH and Check Positive Pay, ACH Debits/Credits Origination, Lock Box), Debit Cards and ACH Operations.

  • Proficient knowledge and ability to serve a back-up to any position within the Electronic Banking Department.

  • Ability to analyze the processes of the department to identify opportunities to improve and create efficiencies.

  • Understand and identify when an Operational Risk Event has occurred and promptly report it to Electronic Banking Team Lead and VP Electronic Banking Officer.

  • Monitors implemented system changes to ensure conformance with recommendations.

  • Completes employee and customer requests via (phone/email/Pega) for electronic banking service information or assisting with technical problems.

  • Responsible to investigate and review possible fraud in customer accounts and follows the established procedure.

  • Responsible for processing Reg-E disputes in a timely manner and other debit card related duties.

  • Responsible for verifying ACH file transmissions, balancing Bank's ACH transactions, processing chargebacks, setting up ACH filters and blocks.

  • Ensures bank policy and procedures are followed in regards to risk management and confidentiality of customer information.

  • Monitor all Service Level Agreements (SLA's) agreements executed between Electronic Banking and other internal departments.

  • Supports Team Lead and VP Electronic Officer in carrying out the Bank's strategic plan.

  • Provide optimum and timely customer service to all areas of the Banks, with proper/accurate/timely, responses, follow ups and proactive measures to tend to and/or solve any issues and/or complete any task project cohesively.

  • Ability to train other department in the products and services of the Electronic Banking department.

  • Responsible for completing annual training program assigned.

  • Performs other functions and/or duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business and/or Finance or equivalent experience.

  • Experience: Three (3) years of experience in Electronic Banking including but not limited to ATM/Debit cards, online banking and treasury management services.

  • Advance computer skills including but not limited to proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)

  • Knowledge of related State and Federal banking compliance regulations.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.

  • Must be bilingual in both English and Spanish. Ability to fluently speak, understand, read and write both languages.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy and a keen ability to work in teams within the Electronic Banking Department and with other departments.

  • Ability to multi-task, with strong organization, time-management and prioritizing skills.

  • Customer service skills, ensuring satisfaction of both internal and external customers.

  • Ability to understand and comprehend instructions, procedures and policies ensuring compliance with the Bank's policies and procedures.

  • Ability to work under pressure and independently with the ability to make decisions according to established guidelines and accomplish tasks accurately and on a timely basis.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, working with integrity and ethically, upholding the organizational values.
