We seek a results-focused, innovative, customer-centric well-qualified individual to join our talented team as an Electromechanical Test Engineer. Based out of our Torrington, Connecticut location, you will be expected to verify and validate electromechanical equipment from development to commercializationby meeting customer specifications, sustaining quality through product lifecycles, technical testing and problem-solving, design verification, product validation, and R&D lab work. You will:

  • Determine design verification and product validation plans by developing and implementing test processes, procedures, and documentation standards against customer and regulatory requirements
  • Meet regulatory compliance standards and eliminate product risk exposure by obtaining third party certification, scheduling external testing, and troubleshooting and educating as required
  • Manage the product development lab for Curing Equipment testing and validations by overseeing and planning the use of equipment, capabilities, and resources for electromechanical lab functions
  • Document and disseminate product component failure reports by leading Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis (DFMEA) reviews and evaluations
  • Collect, edit and update technical information for product manuals and bulletins by providing technical data and troubleshooting tips to Application Engineering and Business Development
  • Generate workable recommendations for functional and design specifications by authoring reports that summarize experiment data and analytics

Requirements

You should have:

  • Degree in Engineering required. BSEE preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in electromechanical product testing
  • Familiarity with data acquisition tools, oscilloscopes, multi-meters, thermal chambers, and other electronic test apparatus
  • Proven ability to self-teach, work independently, and draw meaningful results and conclusions
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
