The candidate hired for the position of Electro-Magnetic Materials Research Scientist will be responsible for identifying and proposing new research project(s), while collaborating with internal and external groups to advance new electromagnetic materials and systems for consumer electronics, automotive electrification, data center and Electro-Magnetic Interference (EMI)/Electro-Magnetic Compatible (EMC) products. The successful candidate will also support materials and system measurements and characterization in response to customer requests and product development needs.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Lead research and development projects for developing new products in the electronics sector.
Perform literature and patent searches, and actively develop intellectual property.
Engage customers to help define goals for research and development.
Work in a group environment leading research and development teams.
Possess a Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Minimum one (1) year of magnetic research experience in a private, public, government or military environment
Ph.D. in Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Materials Science or related discipline from an accredited institution
Strong academic and/or industrial background in magnetic materials, their formation and their use in Radio Frequency (RF) applications
Experience in characterization of magnetic materials, including radio-frequency measurements
Experience in characterizing dielectrics and/or semiconductors
Experience with designing and constructing experimental apparatus
Knowledge of magnetization dynamics
Product development experience
Customer interaction experience
Awareness of current trends in magnetic materials and processing
Understanding electronic systems and materials' needs
Candidate should have superior interpersonal skills, and demonstrated leadership skills
Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentation)
Ability to work well on diverse, cross-functional teams
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, as well as statistical analysis tools (e.g. Minitab, R), Python, and/or MATLAB.
Physics computer simulation capability (COMSOL, MAXWELL, HFSS, etc.)
Location: Maplewood, MN
Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international
Relocation: Is authorized
