Summary

Performs the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies. Determines and may develop test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams. Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems. May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing. Prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems. May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment.

Job Description

This position will work as an electro-mechanical assembler and test technician. The successful candidate would be hands-on, to first assemble the X-ray machine, then perform testing as will be defined by the team to certify the machine before shipment.

• Experience assembling electro-mechanical assemblies to include wiring harnesses, computerized machine controls, networking modems, and other mechanical items.

• Must have the ability to read and follow schematics.

• Must have the ability to route, strip, and terminate a wide variety of wiring, including assembling connectors.

• Experience with X-ray equipment is a big plus.

• Ability to follow schematics and troubleshoot electrical circuits with instruments such as a multimeter is required.

• Color vision required.

• Will work with material moving equipment such as pallet jacks, overhead cranes, and possibly forklifts to move and secure heavy assemblies.

Education and Experience

• Associate Degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of related experience
