The Electromechanical Technician maintains and reconditions various electromechanical devices. Also identifies and evaluates electrical, pneumatic, mechanical and hydraulic machinery problems. May be asked to modify and/or design equipment. Install, test, repair or replace cabling or components on machines; design component assemblies
Complete understanding of electrical current. (AC and DC, 120v, 240v, 277v, 460v, etc.)
Control circuitry knowledge a must. (example: relays, timers, thermo couplings, etc.)
Knowledge of PLC's a must. (example: Allen Bradley, Omron, Mitsubishi, etc.)
Knowledge of electrical motor starters/drive units a must. (example: GE, etc.)
Locate and repair failures in electrical motors (AC and DC units), connection devices and electromechanical equipment
"IR" heating/elements technology a must
Perform machining, assembly and welding work (mig and stick), as necessary, and use machine tools to recondition or modify various pieces of equipment.
Design equipment control panels, as needed
Perform power hand tool maintenance
Leave the site clean after completing a job or service call
Comply with the company's occupational health and safety standards
Perform various tasks related to the position

Flexibility
Ability to read and understand blue prints; Ability to lay out projects and fabricate as needed
Knowledge in 260 volt and 480 volt circuits, ability to understand electrical wiring schematics; At least two years' experience stick welding and mig welding
