Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician

About the Role
Responsibilities:

Provide technical expertise needed for timely recovery from equipment outages as well as identifying long term solutions to minimize future outages.
Provide prompt response to analyze equipment malfunctions as well as coordinate repairs.
Support the Contech Plastics Manufacturing to address technical problems that include root cause and analysis, being a liaison between plans and suppliers to identify and resolve equipment issues with long term solutions that are sustainable. Develop and maintain a common technical library of electrical and mechanical drawings, programmable logic controller (PLC) and human machine interface (HMI) programs, etc. related to the manufacturing equipment located at all locations.
Identify timely and cost-effective solutions for replacement of obsolete components.
Manage, maintain and improve remote interface capabilities. Other duties assigned.

About You
We Require:

Preferred Education: Associates Degree with focus in Electro-Mechanical Technology/Engineering Technology/Electrical Technology
Required minimum education: Post-Secondary
Combination of post-secondary education and experience will be considered in lieu of degree
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electro-Mechanical Technician or similar in a manufacturing environment. Excellent electrical and mechanical aptitude.
Proficient in analyzing hard-wired relay control systems as well as modern programmable logic controllers.
Must be able to safely evaluate alternating current and direct current systems up to 480 volts. Strong computer skills.
Hands-on approach to job task to include seeking additional information on the task as required.
Self-starter and able to execute job tasks with limited supervision. Motivated to identify root cause and long-term solution.
