Electro- Mechanical Engineering Technician

Description:

The Electro-Mechanical Technician position will work directly under the guidance of a Sr. Battery Engineer in support of an Aerospace battery development. The position is responsible for assisting the Sr. Battery Engineer and team (Mechanical, Electrical Engineers) in the development of a new battery through test and measurement of existing battery cells, assembly of battery enclosures, assembly of test fixtures and tooling, and test and measurement of new battery cells.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role the responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Perform evaluation & testing of battery cells.

• Documentation of all testing performed.

• Perform assembly of battery enclosures to include battery cells, wire harnessing, and mechanical design elements.

• Perform assembly of test fixtures and battery cell tooling as required.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will have a background which includes the following education, experience, and skills:

• Associate degree in a technical or science related field required.

• Three or more years' experience of electro-mechanical assembly.

• Electronic test equipment proficiency to include multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies.

• Battery chemistry experience is desired.

• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office tools sufficient to capture and store test data.

• Good verbal and written communication, and organizational skills.
