What to Expect: As a Mechanical Product Design Engineer for our Architectural Products program, you will be responsible for integration of mechanical and electrical components, consolidating and packaging optical systems, connectors, wiring, and sensors.

Your job will be to lead the mechanical design efforts and drive the pace of development and collaboration with other electrical and mechanical designers. What You’ll Do: Have design responsibility for overall product as well as diverse components including plastic / metal component design, electronic component packaging, integration into housings, and wire harnesses.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including industrial design, electrical engineering, production engineering, and suppliers to translate product system level requirements into viable design solutions. Apply mechanical engineering principles to create robust and functional product designs that meet performance, reliability, and manufacturability requirements. Conduct thorough design analysis and simulations, including stress analysis, tolerance analysis, and optimization, to validate and refine design concepts.

Collaborate with suppliers and production engineering to ensure seamless integration of design specifications and support the transition from prototype to production. What You’ll Bring: B.S.

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering Design preferred. 5 years related engineering design experience. Passion for electro-mechanical product design. Strong knowledge of materials and fabrication methods for low and high volume.

Analytical background for successful design (tolerance stack-ups, thermal, cost and mass optimization). Ability to present data and design trade-offs to facilitate decision making. Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality design solutions. Experience taking projects from concept to production.

CAD experience, 2D and 3D (Solidworks preferred).
