Job Summary

  • The electro-mechanic is responsible for the repairs and maintenance of the pulping process, forming, and molding equipment must have electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation knowledge. Must have the ability to perform diagnostics, testing, and repairs on electrical components. Improve system performance to achieve process requirements and eliminate repetitive downs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform planned and unplanned maintenance, repair, and improvements on all equipment and machinery for the pulping, forming, and molding process to ensure the integrity and liability of the Production equipment.

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair all equipment, machinery, robots, power system, control system, Automation equipment, and alternate equipment such as compressors and dryers.

  • Completes paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Responsible for housekeeping in the area(s) of responsibility to ensure a safe, clean, and neat work environment and use the 5S philosophy in all of your activities.

  • Work in accordance with all company policies and procedures regarding employment, safety, quality, product safety, legality, security, and regulatory compliance as applicable. Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.

  • Must be knowledgeable in Controls circuits and sensors, Robots and CNC, Pneumatics, Hydraulic, blueprint/schematic reading (mechanical/electrical), Heat transfer, welding, piping, using shop equipment, and fabrication.

  • Must possess an extensive electrical background with experience in troubleshooting and must be familiar with AC and DC drives and PLCs., servo motors, encoders, and controllers; able to solve temperature problems on heating processes such as thermal couples, temperature controllers, solid state relays and heating elements, capable of diagnosing and solving problems on analog and digital sensing devices (pressure, flow, proximity, temperature, lights signal, etc.)

  • Self-driven with the ability to identify and resolve issues to improve equipment performance.

  • Good troubleshooting skills in controls and automation programming such as Ladder logic and Structured language.

  • Demonstrated strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must be computer literate.

  • Must have own tools and be flexible to work overtime.

  • Position requires an HS Diploma or GED and 3-5 years of related experience.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving and electrical and mechanical skills are also required.

  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills and be able to effectively communicate with people at all levels within the organization.

  • Must have the ability to perform basic mathematical operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

  • Ability to work with others effectively as a part of a team is essential.

  • Work in accordance with all company policies and procedures regarding employment, safety, quality, product safety, legality, security, and regulatory compliance as applicable.
