Industrial Electricians - Direct Hire - $24-$30+/hr. DOE - Union

2nd or 3rd Shift, and 1st Shift requires a Licensed "A" Electrician

Exciting opportunity to work for one of the most recognized and loved food industry manufacturers in the nation.

You will be utilizing your electrical knowledge and experience of installing, maintaining, operating, testing, troubleshooting, repairing food industry electrical and mechanical processing and packaging equipment. In planning and performing work you exhibit a thorough knowledge of electrical and electronic theory and principals of wiring, specifications, and national electrical codes. This position requires proficiency in multiple skill clusters, such as electrical controls, fluid power, mechanical systems, welding, fabrication and manufacturing processes. This person will perform medium to high-level machine systems troubleshooting and repair, and provide technical support for all phases of the operation. This work will be of average to considerable difficulty in the accomplishment of a variety of mechanical maintenance actions.

  • Works from verbal and written instructions, utilizing drawings, blueprints, schematics, sketches, tech. manuals and volt meters, you will test, troubleshoot problems on process equipment, its sub-systems, ancillary processes in all departments, fulfill, document and completing preventative maintenance and work orders.
  • Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment and systems for emergency repairs.
  • Applies skills, experience, and general knowledge to a wide range of tasks to adjust, repair, dissemble, replace, and reassemble plant equipment.
  • Performs preventive maintenance routines and inspections.
  • Utilizes hand tools and common powered hand and shop tools.
  • Approaches job duties with a sense of accuracy and urgency.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Adhere to all co. policies including: safety, GMP and SOP's.

The plant environment is food industry and includes: wet or humid conditions, normal, cold (34F) or extreme cold (-10F) and heat, working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals. Noise level is moderate but may be loud when working on machines. Personal Protective Equipment is supplied. Occasionally lift and move up to 50 lbs., acute vision, hearing, able to stand, walk, climb ladders, crouch , crawl, and more.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalency required
  • Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college OR technical school; and 2 to 4 years related experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • Must be able to read and write fluently in English to communicate and understand technical/ training manuals written in English.
  • Possess the ability to function effectively in a team environment and interact productively with all levels of team personnel and outside contractors.
  • Ability to operate a forklift, genie lift or scissor lift preferred
  • Displays sound judgment, organizational skills and the ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

May be required to work overtime and weekends as required.
