Job Description/Responsibilities

Immediate Opening for Experienced Electrician/Electronics Technician!

Shift is from 6pm to 6am, 2-2-3 shift pattern. Pay approximately $37.08 based on years of experience with opportuntiy for growth.

Responsibilities include maintaining industrial bottling equipment, grounds and buildings' electrical needs. Individual must be self-motivated, work in a fast paced and team oriented environment.

Experience and knowledge of industrial environment, knowledge of control wiring, working with 230 volts, capable of determining and ordering parts as needed is highly preferred. Candidate will be responsible for all types of electrical and mechanical work, from bending conduit to controls.

Successful candidate must be available for overtime as required. Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements

Electronics background is required. AC drives and strong PLC programming and troubleshooting experience with Allen Bradley is highly recommended. Electro-mechanical skills are a plus.

A journey-man's license is required. Master's License is preferred.

The ideal candidate will have experience in field layout, machine startup and troubleshooting.

Technicians are responsible for the diagnosis, repair, reconditioning, overhaul and maintenance of customer and company heavy equipment and components. Depending on the location and assignment, the technician will be responsible for some or all of the functions and duties listed below. These repairs may require working hours in addition to the normal work schedule for emergency calls or routine service as required. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required.</p><ul><li><p>High school diploma or (GED) equivalent.</p></li><li><p>Three years experience as an earthmoving shop technician working with heavy equipment.</p></li><li><p>Proficient in mechanical systems (transmissions, engines, hydraulics, etc.).</p></li><li><p>Heavy equipment service/maintenance knowledge.</p></li><li><p>Strong problem-solving skills and be detailed oriented with a high level of accuracy.</p></li><li><p>Ability to diagnose and repair CAT heavy equipment and components in the field.</p></li><li><p>Proficient in the use of a computer and related software (Word, Excel, etc.).</p></li><li><p>Strong math skills.</p></li><li><p>Able to lift more than 50 pounds.</p></li><li><p>Able to work varying shifts, weekends and holidays.</p></li><li><p>Ability to perform duties with a sense of urgency, exceeding customer expectations.</p></li><li><p>Ability to work in the field without supervision.</p></li><li><p>Must be able to work in a dynamic, fast paced service environment.</p></li><li><p>Maintain a tool inventory sufficient to perform assigned tasks.</p></li><li><p>Must have a safe working record.</p></li><li><p>Ability to operate a service vehicle.</p></li><li><p>Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a safe driving record.</p></li><li><p>DOT and MSHA certifications required.</p></li></ul><p>Preferred Skills and Competencies</p><ul><li><p>Associates degree in a related field is preferred.</p></li><li><p>Previous experience as an earthmoving field technician preferred.</p></li><li><p>Experience on CAT heavy equipment preferred.</p></li><li><p>CDL License.</p></li></ul><p>This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
