Zap Energy is looking for a strong, in-house electrician with experience working oncommercial buildings and large-scale electrical projects. Responsibilities will cover thefull scope of installing and maintaining electrical infrastructure at our two facilities inEverett and Mukilteo, WA.Essential FunctionsAmong other things, regular responsibilities will include:

  • Assist with design, layout, and installation of high voltage and low voltagepower systems. Understand and apply blueprints and technical diagrams.
  • Troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical/electronic systems.
  • Assist in circuit layout design and planning auxiliarypower (generators,batteries, etc.).
  • Inventory management (maintaining stocks of supplies, vendor lists,etc.)
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a formal apprenticeship and be a currently licensed electrician authorized to work in Washington.
  • Experience in various electrical devices and systems is necessary, this could include installation of electrical gear, panels, conduit, racks, electrical cable, and equipment in both office and warehouse/lab settings.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with CAD software (e.g.SolidWorks).
  • Experience with power generation equipment and distribution/
  • The ideal candidate is knowledgeable of state and local building regulations, detail-
  • oriented, organized, focused on safety, and a good communicator.

The estimated salary range for this position is $50-$80/hr. Candidates may be considered for other positions at Zap Energy and actual salary will be based on relevant education, experience, and other qualifications. Range is published in accordance with Washington Equal Pay and Opportunity Act.

Find your future with us.</p><p>The Boeing Company is currently seeking experienced Industrial Maintenance Electricians to join the team to help maintain the industrial infrastructure in Washington State.</p><p>Position Responsibilities:</p><ul><li><p>Operate, install electrical systems and perform functional test of building and/or plant equipment (e.g., machines, motor controls, room remodels)</p></li><li><p>Determine if system should be shut down or if work must be performed with power source on</p></li><li><p>Lock out, tag out, try out equipment and related systems</p></li><li><p>Perform primary and secondary test on electrical breakers during routine maintenance</p></li><li><p>Replace, update and retro fit breakers</p></li><li><p>Perform routine tests on high voltage switches and relays, using hipotential test equipment (Hipot), replace switch or relay</p></li><li><p>Troubleshoot electric motors using appropriate test equipment</p></li><li><p>Monitor current, voltage, amperage, frequency and watts hours at sub-stations using on line computing system</p></li><li><p>Check and service electrical systems, using infrared analysis sheets to locate hot spots in service panel</p></li><li><p>Service and maintain electrical systems on various types of overhead cranes</p></li><li><p>Operate, install electrical systems and perform functional test of building and/or plant equipment (e.g., machines, motor controls, room remodels)</p></li><li><p>Install and perform routine maintenance on all types of lighting fixtures (e.g., fluorescent, halide, standard), clean and check sockets, and replace ballast and bulbs</p></li><li><p>Run high voltage electrical cable from substation to unit station, cut and splice cable, test cable for resistance using a Hipot</p></li><li><p>Install, replace and repair fiber optic cable for computers and computing systems</p></li><li><p>Bend conduit and install junction boxes</p></li><li><p>Pull wire of various gauge and color through conduit using a fish tape, install and connect switches and outlets</p></li><li><p>Check work after completion or after each operation; ensure job is per drawing and WAC, NEC codes</p></li><li><p>Evaluate job for work to be performed (e.g., wire size, electrical load, conduit)</p></li><li><p>Operate mechanical lifts of various types (e.g. tiger lift, spider lift, snorkel lift), to access area to be worked on</p></li><li><p>Install wire, crimp, terminate, and solder using tools (e.g., crimpers, wire cutters, soldering gun) in plant electrical systems</p></li><li><p>Establish/verify voltage, amperage, frequency and watts using test equipment (e.g., circuit trackers, sonic circuit chasers, volt, amperage meters)</p></li></ul><p>This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
