We are currently recruiting for an Electrician to join our team.

Stolthaven Terminals, a division of Stolt-Nielsen Limited (SNL), is the specialist storage provider for bulk liquids: chemicals, clean petroleum gases, vegetable oils, biofuels and oleochemicals. We are continuously seeking how we can add value for our customers.

What will you be doing

As an Electrician, you are responsible to perform installation, repairs and maintenance work for industrial electrical equipment and systems. Your duties shall include leveraging testing devices to troubleshoot electrical issues, inspecting various electrical components and adhering to local and company safety standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Uses tools to calibrate, troubleshoot, diagnose and repair terminal operating equipment in a timely manner including, but not limited to, motors, control panels, programmable logic controllers, flare systems, instruments, meters, process measurement, etc.

  • Utilizes all necessary PPE and applies safe work practices including lock-out-tag-out, first line break, hot work/safe work permits, OSHA right-to-know, etc. Inspects all work after it is done, signs off on appropriate paperwork, and communicates job completion.

  • Assists in compiling and organizing a complete spare parts inventory. Organize and complete a preventative maintenance plan to ensure extended equipment life. Prepares a detailed material list, manpower, and tool requirements to complete a job assignment.

  • Acquires working knowledge of terminal operations, waste water, steam boilers, flares, plant electrical code, meters, etc.

  • Oversee a contractor crew to accomplish work assignments and inspect such work for correct, complete and safe installation or repair.

  • Meets with vendors to acquire new skills or technical knowledge alternate solutions to recurring problems and cost reduction technologies.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in electrical and instrumentation design, repair and maintenance. Advanced knowledge of NEC 70 and related electrical codes.

  • Professional knowledge of various instrumentation and automation protocols and languages.

  • Ability to solve problems and work independently with minimal supervision.
