Electrician

REPORTS TO:

Maintenance Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for the preventative maintenance and safe repair of Rides, Park facility electrical equipment and control systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Performing daily inspections of assigned rides and attractions.

  • Performing rehab work on theme park rides and attractions.

  • Completing work orders and electrical installations.

  • Troubleshooting ride control systems.

  • Maintain and repair pump controls, alarm systems, laundry, and food beverage equipment.

  • Maintain emergency generator systems.

  • Maintain Energy Management system.

  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

  • Performing any other duties as required by Maintenance Leadership and Management.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE MUST POSSESS:

  • 5 years minimum experience in electrical maintenance

  • Must be at least 21 years of age

  • High School Diploma or valid GED

  • Must have a valid State Driver License and a State Electrician License

  • Ability to work varied shifts, weekends, nights and available for overtime as needed

  • Ability to work in all-weather elements such as sun, heat, cold, rain and various heights

  • Strong understanding of electric control systems and devices and fundamental electronic principles

  • Ability to uphold Guest First Standards as set forth by company policy.

  • Demonstrable communication skills in English (reading, writing, and speaking), and ability to keep accurate written records.

The Electrician trouble shoots, repairs, installs, and performs Preventative Maintenance (PM) on all electrical systems within the facilities, the Central Utilities Plant (CUP), and other buildings related to the contract by performing the following duties. This position requires a Journeyman’s license with both mechanical and electrical aptitudes.<br /> <strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities </strong>include the following. Other duties may be assigned. <ul> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Ensures that lighting throughout the facility is in working order through regular maintenance checks, replacement of defective parts, and repairs as required according to policies.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Performs the maintenance and repair of electrical switchgear and distribution equipment, kitchen equipment, and other electrical equipment in accordance with specifications.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Perform maintenance and repair on large systems including (but not limited to) pneumatic tubes system, nurse call system, emergency power, lighting controls, mass notification, and fire alarm system. Maintain a current competency for these systems.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Remain knowledgeable and proficient with the electrical distribution system for each building on campus. Create and maintain both single–line drawings and distribution maps for the electrical system.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Maintains records of electrical preventive and corrective maintenance activities as required; performs corrective and preventive maintenance tests as necessary, according to policies.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Installs wiring, switches, receptacles and other electrical devices as assigned, in accordance with national electrical codes.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Independently performs electrical systems tasks in rooms, including television, nurse call apparatus, lighting and receptacles according to PM check list.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Repair and install electrical devices such as receptacles, light fixtures, light switches, lighting ballast, motors, etc.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Install electrical conduit and related boxes.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) on various electrical devices.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Participate in the monthly emergency generator testing.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Be able to read and understand architectural, mechanical, and electrical drawings.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Be able to read and understand electrical schematics.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Be able to read and understand manufacture’s submittals and literature.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Be able to specify, locate and order material and replacement parts.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Be able to understand and implement national electrical codes, life safety codes and fully comply to NFPA 70E Arc Flash Protection.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Follow and implement standard Lock Out Tag Out policies and procedures.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Complete Work Order and Preventative Maintenance (PM) paperwork in a timely and professional manner.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Attend weekly Tool Box safety meetings and demonstrate safety competency.</li> </ul> <strong>Qualifications:</strong> To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
