Responsible for the electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of facility machinery. This position currently works Monday- Friday day shift but could move to rotating shifts based on business need. On call hours assigned on a rotational basis.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Knows and follows all safety policies and procedures. Ensures that co-workers are also following safety rules.
Commitment, awareness and involvement pertaining to ISO (policy, standards, procedures, etc.) and food safety practices (GMPs, procedures, etc.) are requirements of all employees.
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on facility machinery.
Troubleshoot, install and repair facility machinery such as motors, transformers, generators, electronic controllers along with plant lighting and HVAC systems.
Test and replace items such as circuit breakers, fuses, switches, electrical and electronic components, or wire.
Periodically inspect all equipment to ensure it is operating properly, and locate and correct problems before breakdowns occur.
Advise management whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous. When working with complex electronic devices, they may work with engineers, engineering technicians, line installers and repairers, or industrial machinery installation, repair, and maintenance workers.
Install process and facility equipment which includes assembly and relocations.
Install low voltage wiring systems in addition to wiring a building's electrical system. Low voltage wiring involves voice, data, and video wiring systems, such as those for telephones, computers and related equipment, intercoms, and fire alarm and security systems.
Install coaxial or fiber optic cable for computers and other telecommunications equipment and electronic controls for industrial uses.
Complete daily maintenance and repair logs.
Communicate with operators from other shifts.
Maintain and secure work tools.
Clean and maintain work area.
Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
Demonstrates appropriate attitude in all dealings with co workers, customers, and suppliers.
Consistently at work and on time.Other duties may be assigned.
Electrician or electro-mechanical apprenticeship program in a manufacturing environment, or Industrial Electrical degree or Electro-mechanical certification.
10 years' experience and/or training in a manufacturing facility; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Advanced skills (Journeyman level) required in one or more of the following areas: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic systems, plumbing, carpentry, piping systems, and PLC programming.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
Knowledge of Internet software, Excel spreadsheet software and Microsoft word software.
