The Kentucky Department of Corrections (DOC), Division of Adult Institutions operates 13 correctional facilities that house Kentucky's adult inmate population. The mission of DOC is to protect the citizens of the Commonwealth and to provide a safe, secure and humane environment for staff and offenders in carrying out the mandates of the legislative and judicial processes; and, to provide opportunities for offenders to acquire skills which facilitate non-criminal behavior.
Kentucky State Penitentiary is seeking candidates for the position of Electrician Licensed Supervisor to work at the institution.
The Electrician Licensed Supervisor requires a Master Electrician license from the Kentucky Department of Housing, Buildings, and Construction. This position works throughout the institution addressing maintenance issues that arise on a daily basis.
A normal workday would consist of preventive maintenance, service repairs and installation of new equipment. This position will be responsible for the supervision of inmates assigned to this area, teaching and training assigned inmates related trades and skills.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must be licensed as a Master Electrician by the Kentucky Department of Housing, Buildings and Construction.
