Electrician II: $21.12 - 26.93 per hour, depending on qualifications

Nature of Work:

Performs responsible journey-level electrical work involving the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment, machinery, power appliances, fixtures, and other electrical components. Work is performed under the supervision of a Lift Stations Supervisor and is subject to review while in progress and upon completion for compliance with acceptable electrical standards.

WORK LOCATION: Lift Stations Section, Wastewater Division, 5100 L.B. McLeod Road, Orlando

Minimum Requirements

High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate and four (4) years of electrical experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Must possess an Orange County Journeyman Electrician Competency card or equivalent. Some positions may require a valid Florida Driver's License prior to employment. Some positions may be required to pass an annual respirator physical; no facial hair allowed between the face and sealing surface of the respirator face plate. Must have a cell phone or home phone.

ALL LEVELS:

  • Florida driver license required at time of employment.

  • Must be able reliably to be contacted in case of an emergency work situation and be able to respond on-call/standby

  • Must obtain security clearance and GOAA ID within 90 days of employment and maintain same

  • Must pass annual respirator physical.

  • No facial hair allowed between the face and sealing surface of the respirator face piece:

Employees must be clean shaven at the start of their assigned work shift.
