Essential Functions

These are the job duties required of the position.

Essential Functions

• Installs, maintains, alters, and repairs electrical and mechanical equipment to include power appliances, light machinery, electrical circuits using applicable hand and power tools.

• Installs electrical fixtures and appliances in newly constructed areas using a ladder as required.

• Locates and corrects failed power circuits.

• Performs electrical work on photoelectric cells, time clocks, electric heaters, air conditioners, motor generator sets, and air compressors.

• Oversees electrical work performed by lower level staff.

• Performs emergency repairs to elevators, generators, and other electrical equipment as required.

• Moves equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Uses a university vehicle to travel to various locations and transport materials.

• Utilizes a bucket truck or ariel lift as required.

• Regular and prompt attendance.

• Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required.

• Related duties as required.
