Basic Job Functions:
The role of the High Voltage Electrician includes but is not limited to ensuring proper maintenance and reliability of the electrical power systems throughout the plant. The High Voltage Electrician will be expected to coordinate with all areas of the plant on projects and improvements as it pertains to the electrical systems of the plant. This position requires working scheduled and unscheduled overtime including nights, weekends and holidays.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
Accredited electrical degree, accredited electrical certification beyond high school, or equivalent work experience
Two years of high voltage/electrical maintenance experience

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in high voltage or electrical maintenance in heavy industry.
