Maintains high level of mail processing equipment up time through knowledge of products and customer requirements.
Install, modify, repair, maintain, troubleshoot, test, and load new and existing electrical lines, circuits, systems, and associated fixtures, controls, and equipment.
Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment, following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications, using hand tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment.

Knowledge of the operation and installation of a variety of complete electrical systems and equipment, such as series, parallel, and compound circuits for single and multiple phase alternating current of varying voltage, amperage, and frequency; wiring systems in industrial complexes and in buildings; and power or regulating and control circuits and distribution panels to industrial machinery, computers or laboratory and other electrical equipment.
Greater knowledge and understanding about how various circuits, equipment, and controls operate, fit, and work together.
Must have knowledge of the various gauges, sizes, and types of wire, conduit, couplings, fittings, relays, boxes, circuit breakers, and other electrical devices, and the ability to arrange and install them in ways that insure proper and safe operation of electrical systems and equipment.
Ability to interpret and apply the National Electrical Code, local codes, building plans, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings, and to use trade formulas to calculate common properties, e.g., voltage, voltage drop and current capability in series and parallel circuits, resistance, inductance, capacitance, power factor, current flow, and temperature, and length in single and multiple raceways, conduits, gutters, and cable trays.
Must have skill in the use of hand tools and power tools and a wide variety of test equipment.
Specialization in electro mechanics, electronics and computer hardware/software
Mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical equipment knowledge
Familiar with programmable controls, numeral controls, power supplies, drives, guages and test equipment
Installs, starts up and shuts down equipment according to OSHA standards
PC literacy including working knowledge of MS Office suite required
Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software and peripheral device problems
Ability to read and interpret schematics, charts, service manuals and parts diagrams required
Strong oral and written communication and organization skills
Excellent listening, interpersonal and observation skills
Ability to adapt to changing environment in the areas of products and technology
Have flexibility regarding work hours during certain times of the year
Ability to transport/lift up to 50 lbs. with or without accommodation
3-5 years in print, insertion, bindery, sorting and mail equipment. Pitney Bowes or Bell & Howell preferred.
Associates degree or trade school in machine maintenance, electro mechanical or related field
