Essential Job Functions:
Reads and interprets drawings, blueprints, and electrical code
Assists Journeyman with installation tasks
Measures, cuts, and bends wire and conduit, using measuring instruments and hand tools
Other duties as assigned
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
Two (2) year diploma or degree in electrical technology, preferred
Alaska Locations Only: Must be enrolled in Delta Constructors approved apprenticeship program.
North Dakota Locations Only: Must be enrolled in state approved apprenticeship program or have ability to enroll upon hire.
Work Experience:
One (1) year electrical experience in oilfield preferred
License/Certifications:
Current and valid driver's license with clean driving record
OSHA 10 Certificate, or ability to obtain upon hire
H2S Certificate, or ability to obtain upon hire
Alaska Locations Only:
NSTC required
Member of ABC Alaska Electrical Apprentice Program
Post Job Offer Requirements:
Take and pass a pre-employment drug test
Alaska North Slope locations only: Take and pass a Fit-for-Duty Examination
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
Basic knowledge of electrical systems and equipment
Basic knowledge and experience use of power tools, electrical equipment and construction equipment.
Ability to recognize and respond to dangerous situations or emergencies Ability to work safely and recognize potential hazards
Ability to prioritize work or assignments in order to complete projects on time
Ability to communicate effectively verbal and written
Ability to handle stress and possess positive trait even in difficult or challenging situations
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability and willingness to receive and follow direction
