Description:The Electrical Maintenance Supervisor continuously evaluates the existing process control systems for reliability of control and effectiveness. Works closely with team department members, maintenance, and operations, manages the electrical team as supervisor. Provides day-to-day technical support on process control systems and process control related tasks. Supports implementation of new projects by configuring PLC's, VFD's Production PC's, and HMI's. This position will create new Electrical project's and take responsibility of full scope of installation and commissioning.Working Conditions:Working conditions are normal for office and manufacturing environment; hot when weather is hot and cold when weather is cold. Greasy, dirty and noisy environment. Work involves lifting, pulling and/or pushing of materials and product up to 30 pounds. Standing and walking considerable distances. Operation requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots, and hardhats. * Qualifications: * Minimum of an Associate's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Technology.Professional Experience: * Typically, 7-10+ years of hands-on experience in electrical automation, control systems, and PLC/HMI programming. * Proven track record of successfully leading and managing projects related to electrical automation.Technical Skills: * In-depth knowledge and experience in programming Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human-Machine Interface (HMI) systems. Proficiency with popular platforms such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or others relevant to the industry. * Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Profibus, Modbus, EtherNet/IP, etc. * Strong background in electrical control panel design, wiring, and instrumentation. * Experience with motion control systems, servo drives, and variable frequency drives (VFDs). * Knowledge of safety systems and standards related to electrical automation.1.4 Software Proficiency: * Mastery of relevant automation software tools for system design, simulation, and testing. * Familiarity with CAD software for electrical drawings and schematics. * Proficiency in designing and implementing Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems tailored to the needs of the pipe manufacturing process.1.5 Low and Medium Voltage Expertise: * Proficiency in designing, implementing, and maintaining low and medium-voltage electrical systems within the plant. * Knowledge of power distribution systems, transformers, switchgear, and motor control centers operating at low and medium voltage levels.1.6 Electrical System Design: * Experience in designing electrical systems that meet the specific power requirements of high-frequency welding machines, ensuring efficient and reliable operation. * Familiarity with conducting load calculations, short circuit studies, and coordination studies for low and medium voltage systems.1.7 Voltage Regulation and Stability: * Expertise in implementing voltage regulation systems to ensure stable power supply, especially critical for the consistent operation of high-frequency welding equipment. * Knowledge of the Turkish language is not a requirement but would be a plus, as it facilitates effective coordination and communication with our parent company * Responsibilities: * Work as part of a team to plan, analyze and control the quality of processes. * Supervises electrical maintenance personnel over the assigned section of the plant maintenance (Slitter &Mill or Finishing Depts). * Ensures that maintenance technicians are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated so that the maintenance program can be accomplished in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner * Communicates regularly with all maintenance technicians, both individually and as a group, to ensure good two-way communication concerning maintenance issues. * Conducts employee performance reviews based on job descriptions to determine competency, knowledge, and contribution of the maintenance technicians * Inspect, repair, and adjust Programmable Logic Controls (PLC), and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), and related equipment using electrical test equipment, circuit diagrams, schematics and blueprints. * Assist with all computer integration of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and process controls. * Responsible for training of end users on the operations of newly installed or modified process or control systems. * Must be available to, on occasion, work outside their regular schedule, to assist in the implementation of process changes. * The employee is responsible for maintaining maintenance records, inspection reports, and processing Work Orders. * Ensure a clean and safe work area. Must follow all PPE policies and safety rules. * Ensure the standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs) are followed. * Supports HSE-related programs that will increase awareness and promote a safety culture. * Ensure the continuous improvement methods and 5S are always in effect on the responsibility area. * Activities: * Electrical Maintenance Supervisor must work to arrange for repair and replacement of instruments and control systems that fail to operate. They must continuously monitor all operation processes so that a malfunction is immediately recognized and corrected. * Coordinates activities with Plant Operations Departments. * Directs, maintains, and enforces the safety program for the maintenance department; reviews safety records to uphold standards of maximum safety for all maintenance technicians. * Ensures that all maintenance technicians are trained on the most updated version of the operating procedures. * Assists with hiring of electrical maintenance personnel. * Prepares reports, analyzes data, and makes recommendations for improving plant operations and solving maintenance-related problems. * Input of Work Orders through the CMMS of the Maintenance Department.*
  • Prepare reports on equipment performance and efficiency. * Other duties as assigned. * Authority and Obligation: * This position has the authority to stop an operation if he / she deems it necessary, for reasons of imminent safety and/or possible equipment damage. However, he/she must notify the Operations Supervisor on duty and follow the established notification procedure if the interruption is for an extended time period.
