To better support complex projects, Helix Electric has a need for electricians holding a valid State Electrician license and/or Electrical Trainee Card.


  • Manage complex electrical installations in a fast-paced and fast-production environment.

  • Responsible for assembly, installation, maintenance and testing of electrical equipment and wiring systems in large multi family projects.

  • Must be proficient in type NM (Romex) and/or MC wiring methods.

  • Work from all type ladders (step ladders up to 14', "A" frame ladders and all size extension ladders and carry and relocate up to 12' step ladder by one's self.

  • Employee's personal weight and personal tools cannot exceed weight limit of ladder (Class 1-250 lbs., Class 1A-300 lbs.).

  • Wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses at all times), respirator when required.

  • Must be able to commute up to two hours from home.


Job requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain. Wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses at all times), respirator when required. Able to work 8 -10 hours per day, 40 hours per week, and overtime as required and night shifts. Includes crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, reaching, able to routinely lift heavy objects in excess of 50 pounds and pushing and pulling of objects is required. Repetitive use of arms, hands and fingers. Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of the job.

SUMMARY: Multiple positions available The RF Electrical Design Engineer internship is offered to students in order to educate them on RF Electrical Engineering related activities and provide the opportunity for visiting the plant, observing other Engineers performing their work, learn the basics of RF Design Engineering practices. The Manufacturing Engineering internship is offered to students in order to educate them on Electrical Manufacturing (RF) Engineering related activities and provide the opportunity for visiting the plant, observing other Engineers performing their work, and looking at how issues are identified and addressed in the manufacturing processes. The internship will be for a period of 3 months during the summer. At the San Diego facility, products are designed and manufactured to protect our ships, aircraft, and most importantly, our country. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and DUTIES: Participates in the day to day activities of assigned functional area assisting in the completion of routine and non-routine tasks. Assists in applying knowledge to analyze, investigate and resolve problems. Assists in developing electronic and hard copy reports, records, diagrams and charts. Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices. Additional tasks and projects, as needed. MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS: (The following qualifications can be acquired and demonstrated through experience, education and/or vocational training.) Minimum GPA of 3.0. Pursuing a degree in an Engineering related discipline. Working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Excel. Role requires extensive use of spreadsheet applications.
