About the Role: We are looking for a skilled, self-motivated, service-oriented individual to provide 3rd shift electrical maintenance support for our manufacturing operations. In this role, you will be responsible for electrical repairs and maintenance on various types of production equipment with a primary focus of executing preventive maintenance and breakdown support activities. You will work with other members of the team including engineers, maintenance technicians and other facilities teams to manage and improve the equipment which supports manufacturing processes noted for products that are the highest quality in their class. Standard shift hours are 9:00 p.m.
7:30am Sunday
Wednesday.
This role will be located at our facility in Elkton, Maryland.
Please note that evening, night and weekend shift positions are eligible for an additional $2/hour shift differential pay (in California, the shift differential pay is $2.40/hour).

Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment utilizing drawings, manuals, and equipment history
Access, troubleshoot and manipulate automation control programs
Drive preventative maintenance on equipment
Work in a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and quality system to document completed maintenance activities
Partner with engineers, maintenance technicians and other facilities teams to improve equipment and preventative maintenance tasks
Manage contracted services to support equipment repairs, calibrations, and maintenance activities and respond to vendor equipment issues
Foster and maintain a positive and safe working environment
Provide off shift and weekend support as needed for manufacturing or facility related issues
Drive continuous personal development goals aligned with current commitments and business needs
Required Qualifications:
Associates degree in an electrical discipline or Journey level electrical skills with a minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial environment
Experience with controls and controls programming (PLCs)
Basic understanding of OSHA, NEC, NFPA codes
Desktop computer skills, coupled with basic understanding of networking and operating systems as related to control systems
Utilize good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to follow written procedures and work from drawings
Ability to work overtime, work weekends and perform on call duties as required to meet business needs
Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks while handling complex projects
Ability to work safely in an industrial environment and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to; safety glasses, safety shoes, and other required PPE based on the associated hazards of the work task including chemical protective clothing and an Airhood (Supplied Air) Respirator
Ability to work well in a team as well as independently with the ability to mentor associates including apprentices, collaborate with cross-functional teams and work independently
Ability to travel 5%
Desired Qualifications:
Building Automation System (BAS) and controllers (Niagara, Tridium etc.)
Allen Bradley PLC and variable speed drive (VFD) experience
An understanding and familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics and vacuum systems
This role requires pre-hire medical clearance by Gore which may include testing to assess visual acuity and/or the ability to wear specific safety equipment as required during the performance of the role.
